Wonderful weekend, wonderful cabin
This cabin is fabulous. It worked perfectly space-wise for our four children and their families. Everything is new and clean, and the backyard is very child-friendly -- with a big trampoline, swing set and club house. The kitchen is very convenient, and there is a lot of group-gathering space which we appreciated for our family reunion. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely try to book this home again!!


great luxury in the mountains!
A group of us ladies have stayed here 3 times now & are going again in May. Love the roominess everywhere & the beds are super comfortable! Only suggestion is the lighting in the kitchen isn't the greatest...otherwise we love everything about this house! 


Gwc Men's Retreat
Some of the men's of our church spend a 3 night/4 days at the log cabin. there lives was completely change. They loved the place, location and the amenities. Martha was amazing. Her customer service skills are phenomenal. She is our cabin go to gal.The men are planning a yearly return.

Had a fabulous time. Great way to spend a family reunion. The bonus was the snow so early in the year and the fireplace to cozy up to. 


Awesome place for a family vacation!
Everything about this vacation weekend was great, from making the initial reservations to the moment we had to leave. Martha was great and answered a lot of questions. The Log Cabin Mansion was such a wonderful place. Very comfortable, nicely decorated, and well supplied. The beds were luxuriously comfortable. Lots of room and lots to do for everyone. 


When it's about family
My group of 8 brothers stayed for a retreat and will book for next year's annual retreat.This is the nicest place. 10 Queen sized beds. An upstairs great room and kitchen, downstairs finished rec room and more bedrooms. Clean, reasonably well equipped for cooking, with a cozy feel of a family home there is lots of room to socialize as a group or wander off for te a te or priviate time is not a problem.Wrap around deck, hot tub, swings, slide and trampoline for the kids (our youngest is 55 years old and was doing a perfect back flip until he landed face first). Tvs in most every room (yes bedrooms) to occupy the kids, great sound system.And of course Martha Sanchez and team who are uncommonly nice and accommodating as the rental agent made this weekend together more than we've dreamed of in the 22 years of our annual retreat (without spouses or kids).This place is so great I selfishly want to keep it a secret. If you have any fears/doubts talk to Martha!

Best Ladies Weekend Ever
This house is great for a large group with different needs. All beds were very comfortable, house was roomy, lots to do, great wraparound deck, very tastefully decorated. We will definitely be back!


Great fun, great value.
This is a very large, comfortable house that is incredible if you want to plan a get away with family/friends. Lot's for the kids to do, as well as the adults. The house is also only a short walk to town, or a short drive to Humber Park.

Awsome!!!
It was more then we expected. It is a beautiful home, it was comfortable and clean. We are already planning on renting this home again.

Just Beautiful!
The house was simply beautiful! Every space and room was very clean. The views were breathtaking.Some members of our party arrived after dark and it was hard for them to find a little road leading to the property. So I suggest you come at day time, at least that first time looking for it.We are grateful to everybody for maintaining such a beautiful home.

Wonderful Experience
The "Pines to Ocean" cabin is magnificent. When the weather is clear - like the cabin name says - the coast near San Diego is visible from the cabin deck. Our party of eight stayed in complete comfort. One night we had ten for dinner and the amenities provided everything we needed. 

Enjoyed our stay.
Martha does a great job in making it easy to book your stay and check in. This was our second stay in this unit. Our group enjoyed the amentities and the accomdations so much we specifically booked the same property. The houses are a bit dated but we loved the rustic appeal and they are kept in good condition and were very clean. The unit had everything we needed including games, sleds, videos and firewood. We will surely be back.

The place was cool and inviting, there was alot of open area to relax and be come comfortable in. There was no way I was disappointed, I was pleasantly happy with my stay here

Another Excellent experience
We were so glad to return to this wonderful home for our post-New Years weekend retreat! It was all so relaxing and everything went so smooth. Hot tub under the stars, or in the morning brisk air. Fire going most of the day, with our big central gathering area, and space for quiet retreat. This place has it all!

This is my second New Years at Bounder View. A wonderful and quite retreat, steps away from world class hiking and recreation abound. An excellent choice to gather your family or group of friends. The best part is the expansive living room and kitchen. Highly recommend! Dave Towe

Wonderful Winter Weekend
We spent a wonderful winter weekend at the cabin with our kids and my parents. The location is a little off the beaten path and just beautiful. We enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen, taking in the view and relaxing in the hot tub!

Relaxing!
This lovingly, custom-built home is just the place to unwind and relax with family and friends! There are marvelous views in a semi secluded area of town. Our family has had the opportunity to vacation here twice. July being very hot, did not turn our fun in the sun down one bit. After a visit to town, we came back to a cool,restful retreat. We most enjoyed partaking our meals on the spacious deck outside where we could enjoy the cool air and playful critters nature had to offer.Thank you for offering your Idyllwild mountain retreat as a vacation/staycation location! We also appreciated the accessabilty to the cabin for our parents with needs who would otherwise have to stay at home.

Hard to leave
Martha was extremely helpful and intuitive of our needs. We found Boulder View to be everything we hoped for. The location was espcially convenient for access to hiking trails and for walking into town. We especially liked the quiet decor of Boulder View that contributed to our unwinding and relaxation. 

Great cabin. Best location!
Cabin was a great choice for us for our anniversary weekend getaway. Really really beautiful cabin. We hit the mountain on one of those special weekends when it got about 18 inches of snow. This is the best cabin to be holed up for a snowbound weekend.Very comfortable. Bed in master was extremely comfortable. Master suite with hot tub right outside was a big plus. Sitting in the great room by the warm stove watchng the snow pile up on the giant rock across the creek was so relaxing. No neighbors. No noise. Just one car the whole weekend ---our friends from the rental agency coming to snow plow the road and even our walk!

The experience was majestic.
From the second we walked into the cabin I knew we had to stay here one day. After being shown the home, my husband and I quickly decided to change our previous reservations so that we could enjoy this beautiful place instead. I can honestly say I have no desire to stay anywhere else. We found our vacation spot. Every inch of the home is clean, new, and organized. The spacious living area (great room) was perfect for evenings spent talking and laughing with our friends. The men enjoyed the hot tub which felt like you were soaking in the middle of the wilderness. It was so wonderful to wake up each morning to look out to the back yard which has a natural creek running through it. We enjoyed the giant trees, the beautiful boulder, the abundance of squirrels, and the four dear that came to drink from the creek one morning. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the master bathroom was gorgeous. I took the longest shower I think I've ever taken. I felt like I was bathing outside amongst the trees and squirrels. The experience, from beginning to end, was absolutely majestic. We will be back. 


One of a kind!!!
What a wonderful experience in all realms!!! We always look for a three bedroom for privacy, and this offered such, (though will sleep more). A breathtaking setting, relaxing, gourmet kitchen with all you need to cook what you want. Comfortable in all aspects with all visual/modern comforts also present from comfortable sleeping/beds, a hot tub 24 hours a day, wild life and all the modern amenities. I work as a therapist, and the home is wheelchair accessible. Sit in the hot tub day or night and listen to the babbling creek, or walk around to the "dead end” location, so no extra traffic. Games, Idyllwild guides and information down to a leather bound visitor's journal to read about all past occupants experiences. It's just a reclusive and quiet environment. All wants and/or needs met either if you stay one night or a week, but more than 2 days a must so when you do go back home to "reality” , you will feel totally rejuvenating!!! Thank you!!!

Memorable
I was impressed and pleased with the web, phone and office access in central Idyllwild. The Cabin was modern in construction with beautiful floors, ceilings and kitchen. We enjoyed the great room while cooking, playing games and listening to an Ipod over the surround sound. We had everything we needed in the cabin, while enjoying the seclusion of a forest with a creek off the large back deck. Glad I booked it, had a blast with the In-laws and "Kids", everyone said, "this place is awsome".


This rental had everything we needed
This house is roomy and in a great location, walkable to the fabulous aroma Cafe and the rest of town; great view, a short drive to dramatic hiking and pet friendly. Everything worked: the heat, the jacuzzi, the fireplace, the TV. When the DVD player didn't work, the rental company replaced it in time for the next evening's movie. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements and a fabulous deck.

Everthing about Boulder View is 5 Star Magic. Beautiful Views of Strawberry Creek, huge stunning boulders, and wonderful pine trees, make your time magic.The cabin with it's great room makes your stay a great memory. Thanks for a great time.

Wonderful stay at one of the best cabins I've been ever into
The cabin is pretty much brand new. The surroundings are perfect in that it's secluded enough and yet with neighboring cabins for a feel of small rural community. I stayed here with two of my friend's family, and all of them were saying they would come back in a near future with their parents or other family members. If you stay here, I beg you to please take a good care of it because I know I would be coming back here definitely in the future, and I hope I find it in its current tip-top shape for many years to come. I stayed in the master bedroom. The bed was absolutely comfortable. The only problem I had was there was not much closet or shelf space to hang or put anything on in the master suite. The walk-in closet in the bathroom is locked up for owner's use, and there is not much furniture (the reason I gave less than 5 stars for "comfort") It was a minor discomfort. If you visit here, do enjoy the full surround stereo system that is built in the ceiling. All you have to do is to connect your iphone or computer to the earphone jack or play DVD. We had a wonderful time hearing some nice music. One episode. We had total of 3 babies, and all of them almost got a cold. This is what happened. After we put them to sleep in the bedrooms,we started fire in the fireplace (which you would need some instruction to make it work) and we talked by the fireside in the living room until about 2am. One of the babies started crying, and we realized that the rooms were very cold. It was because the living room got warm through the fire and the heater didn't operate because the temperature in the living room was above 73 degree we had set in the evening. (Our babies are fine)Again, if you stay in this cabin, take a good care of it. I am coming back.


Surprised..
We loved this cabin for our weekend stay and were very surprised by how secluded it was. I'd recommend staying here if you're lucky and it is not already booked! :)Cheers,

Perfect for 2 couples
This home was recently remodeled and was spotless throughout. We came with another couple with kids and dogs and it was perfect with 2 master bedrooms. There was an additional room where the kids slept off living area. The laundry room was enclosed and we could of kept our dogs there if we wanted. There was plenty of room, kitchen utensils, and was located close to town. Our children wanted us to purchase this home and our friends thanked me for finding such a perfect home to meet our needs during our brief getaway. It's always great when the place you visit looks even better than the pictures!

Amazing and Gorgeous
This cabin was very welcoming and gorgeous. Walking onto the back porch, you are surrounded by nature and the sound of the creek right below you. I would highly recommend this amazing and beautiful place. 


Nice House in the Woods
This is more of a house than a cabin. It's in a very quiet location down a dirt road which dead ends so there is no thru traffic. It is new and has excellent features.This place is really nice and has everything. You only have to bring food and clothes...everything else is there. My wife loved the well equipped kitchen (I think I'll be upgrading her kitchen soon as a result of this trip). She also liked the master bath with the large walk-in shower. The wood stove works great to heat the big open area which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also central heating/AC as a backup that worked great.The furnishings are quite nice and the audio/video equipment was a pleasant surprise. It's nice to have access the internet via the wireless router. The only downside was that the mobile phone signal is weak inside the house but okay on the back deck or out front. But then again who wants to be connected to the outside world when you are up here?ps: Martha of Idyllwild Vacation Cabin Rentals is a real treat to work with.


Absolutely the Best Extended Family Getaway
Fifteen of usl--half of our family slept across the road at the Cabin on the Creek for a 4 day weekend! Gorgeous home boasting a large "great room" w/top of the line appliances, tv/computer access. In fact, everything about the cabin is topnotch! Walkable to the Village, hiking trails, Creek. Tlc and superb service by Martha is wonderful! This cabin is definitely a repeat!!!

Fun & Spacious Cabin with amazing Views, Perfect for Close Friend
Check in & Check out was easy and conveniently located on the way to the cabin and on the way to the freeway on the way back. The cabin & hot tub was nice & warm when we arrived, the instructions for check out where clear & simple. There was no trash service available but we paid $15 to get it picked up which was not bad at all, the alternative would of been to drop it off someplace nearby which wouldn't of been a big deal either. (My advice is not to wait til the last minute to take all the trash out if you go that route) We also couldn't acquire the Wi-Fi password but luckily we had an I.T. friend with us who was able to dig it up for us, I would recommend bringing an internet/ethernet cable just in case. We also had little to no reception at the cabin which was great! talk about a vacation! But I advise taking screen shots of the directions & map before you come up just in case, you will also have access to a landline once you arrive which was all we needed. There where also plenty of clean towels, toilet paper & a washer & dryer on site. We put the BBQ to good use when we where there, it had a full tank and worked well. We also hung out on the deck for lunch and in the hot tub which was a perfect temperature the whole time we stayed there. The backyard was beautiful since the cabin sits on a creek. If you bring a pet up here he or she will go crazy with the smells! We explored the backyard and did a little hike up the mountain on the other side of the road. There are also hiking trails & a Nature Center starting from about 5 miles away. The town is also very close, bunch of cute places to visit, I recommend the Honey Bunns & Joe Bakery!This is the 3rd cabin I stayed at in Idyllwild, my friends & family love this part of town and we will definitely be back. This cabin was so cozy and secluded. It felt ours while we where there. We miss it already :)


Room for everyone and great view too !
There were 11 of our family to enjoy a 3 night stay in this spacious home. Bedrooms with doors enough for each of our three families. Two baths were plenty, a laundry area was next to the kitchen.Large dining room which looks to the back deckk overlooking Strawberry Creek. Decor, not 2014. A huge brand new deck for more than our 11 was quite a treat. The only problem was the access down to the creek. It was fine for mountain goats and crazy people like my daughter and son and only 2 of the 5 grandchildren. Come try it !

fun times!!!
The staff was amazing. They were actually helpful and accommodating. The cabin was beautiful and spacious. It had everything we needed and if not they staff was eager too get it for us. It snowed while we were there and it was just so peaceful and casing. I nice break groom the everyday routine.

The perfect place for family!
Our family loved Canyon's End. We reserved it for the next year upon checkout. All linens were provided with plenty of extra blankets. The long private driveway made us feel away from it all. The two living rooms downstairs were great! One for the kids and one for the adults, or one for TV and the other for talk, but plenty of room for our activities done together. For our large family the two dining rooms were also great! Oh yeah...and both of the fireplaces! We loved the fenced yard for our smaller children and our little dog. Upstairs the huge master bedroom with its own living room also became the place for the kids to have their slumber parties and play games. The showers were great with plenty of hot water. We have been coming to Idyllwild together for years and this cabin was most family member's favorite. We're already making plans for 2014!

Perfect family vacation!
This was the first time in 6 years all of my family were able to get together. The accommodations were perfect for my large family. Everyone had their private space and yet there was plenty of room for all of us to get together to play games and talk and eat. We lived outside on the beautiful deck. Took our prized family pictures there with a beautiful backdrop of pine trees. The location was perfect too. We want to come back again! And Martha Sanchez took care of any of our needs quickly.

I stayed at Star's Hollow:)
The cabin fitted what my grandchildren and I needed to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend. the cabin had everything we needed. I would highly recommend Star's Hollow. Martha and her mother are sweethearts they made everything so easy so we could have an enjoyable visit.

Best retreat so far!
We got to Idyllwild a little late but the office had prepared for that and had made special arrangements. When we finally got to our cabin we opened the door and saw a well furnished living room with a fireplace. As we explored the property we could not believe how big it was. With a total of 5 rooms 3 bathrooms and so many beds we all had the personal space we like, which is very odd when you go on a retreat. The next day after our hike we came back and had a BBQ on the very nice grill with the propane that they provided for us. This cabin was great and was exactly what we were looking for at a very decent price. Will definitely consider going again next year.

Every thing we expected!!!
We stayed at this cabin Christmas week and it was everything we wanted it to be! The cabin is beautifull and spacious and very clean. We had three families staying with us and there was plenty of space to accommodate everyone. The master bedroom was huge with a large bathroom and a fire place. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and was very sad to leave. The staff was very helpfull, even went out of our way to dump all the trash for us (which was quite a bit since we were there for a week and it was Christmas!) The trash is only taken on certain days and since we checked out on an off day- they graciously loaded our many bags of trash into their personal vehicle and disposed of it for us. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation!!! I would definatly rent this cabin again!!!

We had a wonderful time my son proposed to his girfriend there everything was perfect there was 11 of us and we had plenty of room all I can say is thateverything was what we expected and more


Everything about the house was perfect for our family holiday get-away
The house was perfect for our family's getaway for the holidays. We enjoyed the deck and surroundings during the day and the cozy environment in the house at night. The upstairs rooms were a comfortable place for the kids to play and the master suite worked well for the family of four kids and two adults. It was nice to have the separate bedrooms downstairs for the grandparents. The kitchen was well equipped and we prepared all our meals and ate together at the large dining table. Hope to come back for a summer visit. Martha made everything easy.Thanks.


good to have everyone together.
Three couples, plus one mother-in-law and one couple's daughter, we were all able to be together and enjoy ourselves. Needed: a closet to hang clothes in the master bedroom upstairs; a hair dryer, a map to send people who are coming, and better instructions for use of the internet. Otherwise, great!!

Comfy and convenient
We stayed at Mountain Luxury in December 2012 and enjoyed almost everything about it. The cabin is decorated nicely, obviously owned by someone who cares a lot about their place.It was quite close to down (a 2-3 minute drive) and on a relatively flat road, which I appreciated because I don't like driving on a icy steep roads (I've done that in the past). It has a fenced yard so our dogs could run around off-leash. The upstairs master bedroom has a king size bed and a huge tub, while the downstairs bedrooms (2 of them) had queen sized beds and were comfortable. The kitchen had pretty much any kind of cooking item we needed during our stay.The only thing we didn't like about the cabin is that the kitchen is situated in a way that it's pretty much cut off from the rest of the cabin. It's not a deal breaker, but it was odd, and kept the cooks cut off from the rest of the party that was taking place in the living room. Oh, and one large shade was off of the front window, which made privacy a little challenging. We hung a blanket up to take care of the issue. 


Beautiful location
My family loved this place! We could walk to town and found that a definite plus. We were all very comfortable and enjoyed spending Thanksgiving in the mountains.


relaxing and fun filled
The set up of the cabin is fantastic for a family . There is so much room for everyone to be together but not on top of one another. Dining area. Board game area. Plenty of T.V.s. Separate bedroom areas. Did I mention cable and all of the movies they had. Close to town & shopping & trails. Great yard for relaxing and bird watching. And, a deck with a grill. Family fun at its best


It is quite beautiful rental house in the village.
It is very clean and all equipped in the house.However,the cost is bit expensive and there was no internet connection.Except these, I enjoyed there very much.


Wonderful Mountain Luxury
The cabin was more than we exspected, was absolutely beautiful! Very comfortable and lots of room for me and my family. Martha Sanchez was very correct when she said the cabin would be perfect for my 78 years young mother. I loved the upstairs bathrooms large tub amd especilly the way one of the towel was folded, just like a cruiseline would do. Our stay was womderful and we plan to come back again in October. More shopping to do in tjr exquisite stores.



Charming & Spacious
We were 4 adults & 3 young children staying at this cabin. The master bedroom was large with a king size bed and large bathtub with jets. The kitchen opened to the dining room and living room making it feel like one large room and very easy to make meals while interacting with those in the living room. The patio had 3 tables & was shaded from the sun allowing for a perfect mealtime atmosphere. The downstairs was like another cabin with 2 rooms, a large bathroom/shower, and the pool table with a microwave/sink/small refrigerator. Overall we had a great visit and would definitely rent this cabin again. It far exceeded our expectations.


Cool cabin..
We stayed in this cabin with our friends, for new years eve/day (dec 29,2012-jan 1,2013)We had a great time during our stay, the cabin was lovely and Martha provided excellent service. Here are some reasons we loved the cabin:#1) The master bedroom! The bed was absolutely comfortable, the master bathroom was awesome with his and hers sink, standing shower, and the best part was the two-person bathtub with jets that felt like tiny-little-elfs were giving you a whole body massage lol, and the cherry on top was the nice outside our balcony.#2) The game room was nicely decorated with vintage posters/items, It had a small wet-bar which was convenient, a pool table and a vintage table to play games.#3 The kitchen was very spacious and It had everything we needed to make our food.Here are some things we would change:#1) although I love the vintage/ Victorian decor around the house, I did not like the vintage porcelain dolls in the downstairs bedroom, I also did not like the vintage crib, or personal baby paintings/clthing on the wall, It just seemed a little too personal and dare I say.. creepy after a glass or two of wine.#2) The down stairs was a bit dark and outdated with the technology, They had small,old TVS with VHS players. (not a total fail, but could improve)Overall our stay was a good one, we had a great time and we would return.-Alex & Cindy


a wonderful cabin
we really enjoyed our weekend here. a great open kitchen and the outside patio was plenty big for our bbq for 18. We never did get to the downstairs pool table. A very spacious cabin.

A week in heaven!
My wife and I and our three adult children and one fiance spent an incredible week at Hudson Hideaway. This home is immaculate and so comfortable you will relax the minute you walk in the door. Our mornings were spent with coffee on the gorgeous deck surrounded by the pines. The gas barbecue was a delight. Evenings were spent watching the Olympics on the flat screen T.V. or watching one of the Dvd's we brought with us. They also had an incredible collection of VHS video cassettes. There are T.V.'s in every room and the game room too. And the game room has a gorgeous pool table, mini fridge and drink blender. The kitchen was a dream with everything we needed to prepare our meals. There are many wonderful restaurants in Idyllwild to choose from if you prefer to eat out. The street is so quiet we felt like we were really and truly away from it all. We can't wait to return. Thank you Martha for the wonderful service and helping us to pick such a memorable vacation home!


Wonderful weekend getaway!
We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at the Hudson Hideaway cabin when we recently visited Idyllwild. We found the cabin to be immaculate, beautifully furnished with comfortable, great quality bedding. The games room was just icing on the cake...kept the kids busy! Martha is a dream to communicate with and I'm so glad I followed her recommendations. Will definitely return in the summer!

A wonderful cabin!
We have stayed at Hudson's Hideaway a few times over the last few years and love this cabin! Its tastefully decorated, close to town and the pool table is a hit with my kids. If the owners ever want to sell...


Great Cabin w all the luxuries
This place was terrific. If you like antiques, blended with modern technology this is the place for you. Close to town, great comfortable beds. Overstuffed furniture and flat screen tv's. The game room was a great bonus. All the amenities were there.


Fun and Relaxing Getaway Cabin with Cool Game Room
Our last minute decision to rent this cabin/home was the best one we've had in awhile!! Martha was very prompt in returning my call and was very pleasant to deal with. She assured me that if we needed anything, to call her any time of day. As it was, the place was perfect!!Upon our arrival at Hudson Hideaway, we found the place to be spacious and inviting. It was very clean and comfortable. Our teenage girls loved the game room and my husband and I loved the wonderful deck behind the house. A nice quiet place to relax, play games, or just sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. We cooked most all of our meals at the cabin and found the kitchen to be fully stocked. The BBQ on the deck was very nice and convenient. We loved the decor of the home...very classy with antique furniture touches throughout. We wanted to go hiking and only had to drive 8 to 10 minutes to Humber Park. Just loved the views and scenery of the San Jacinto mountains.We really enjoyed our stay at Hudson Hideaway and would definitely recommend that you give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic getaway
The cabin was perfect for us! 4 adults and 2 kids, the kids loved the bunkbeds downstairs! Very clean home, perfect for allergy sufferer like me, had no problems!The hot tub outside was great, sitting there at nite and looking at the so bright stars was very relaxing!!


Seven arrows perfect for family fun
Having stayed in Seven arrows cabin twice we have found it perfect for our family of seven. It is a good jog to town but can be done with a rest stop or two for those elder ones. The house is well supplied in kitchen, games for children and many options for family good times. Joyce Hatfield 


Relaxing, well worth the trip
I traveled to Idyllwild for the first time with my husband, son, and another couple who has a toddler. We were completely happy with this cabin, and loved the experience.There were a few odds and ends that could have been improved - the dishwasher door kept sticking, some lights were out, and the 1 nonstick pot desperately needed to be replaced - but overall, it was a relaxing getaway.The cabin was clean, well stocked with lots of fresh towels and kitchen supplies. The two bedrooms on the first floor are far apart, so you don't hear one another. The bedroom in basement is tucked away with a queen bed and bunk beds.


Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving at 7 arrows
We rented three houses, 7 arrows, Squirrels Nest and Teddy Bear Retreat. All were clean and well stocked with linens and the kitchen had all we needed. Any questions or needs we had were taken care of as soon as possible. Of course, the town of Idyllwild is charming. We are planning on repeating the experience next year.


a wonderful time again
this is our second time renting from idyllwild vacation cabins. Both cabins were fantastic - a great way to get out of la for the weekend. The cabin had everything we wanted and a great deck. I highly recommend renting cabins from these folks. Very clean and as advertised.


Nye 2011 at 7 arrows
My cousins and I had an amazing time. I had a little difficulty finding the cabin but once I was there all was good. The place was clean and stocked. I wish I would have known to bring a floor heater because the downstairs bedroom was freezing. But, my husband came up seciond night and brought one for us. Also, there was a power outage but that just added to our NYE memories. Good times!


Great place! 
We make a trip out to idyllwild once a year, and we keep coming nack. This year was no different- loved everything! Martha was very kind, professional and accommodating!


a great place to stay
Quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to village center. Excellent house, modern, clean, well-maintained. Can't think of anything bad about the place.



Perfect for all-kid friendly too!
Wanted snow, but the weather was perfect for hiking, shopping and being lazy in the large Jacuzzi. The cabin was only a short walk to town. The grandkids loved playing on the large wrap around patio and roasting marshmellows in the warming fireplace. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking!! I will come back here again.

Love Pine Crest 
Pine Crest is a fantastic cabin with a great flat entry, patio and view. The interior is nicely decorated and cozy, yet roomy enough for a family of four. We loved it!

Bella Luna beauty
Just was a wonderful first time Idyllwild experience. Especially because of our weekend choice to stay at this Bella Luna beauty! Loved our coffee mornings enjoying view from deck, it was such a blessing to watch the sun rise behind the mountains surrounded with so many green pines. Wow, breath taking. This cabin was comfy and fully equipped with also very nice interior. The bonus I have to share was the Jacuzzi. After our long day adventure of hiking and activities it was splendid to relax over a glass of vino and wind down. I truly recommend this beauty and our family will definitely be returning.Thank you Martha, you're really a professional. 


Beautiful winter wonderland !!
This cabin is so peaceful and secluded!! It was sunny on our first night and snowy the next day!! Our boxer dog had a blast running through the snow! I brought my iPod and luckily the cabin in updated with an iPod dock so listening to frank Sinatra and bbqing tri tip in the snow was the coolest!! Earnie maxwell was the perfect trail to get an easy workout in its only about 2 miles from the cabin. when we returned, the jacuzzi was perfect to relax in. I absolutely love Bella Luna and want to make another idyllwild trip there again soon!

Wonderful cozy cabin!
We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Luna. Very cozy cabin, with plenty of room, and nice views. The cabin has a great feel and the decks are nice too. Martha is wonderful to deal with and we would definitely stay here again sometime or stay at other rentals offered by Idyllwild Vacation Rentals.

Peace and Tranquility up on the hill..
We just stayed at Bella Luna and decided to drive up after we read that it snowed 10 inches in Idyllwild. So glad we did - we have been up twice before and this was by far our favorite cabin we rented!! The home was set back up on a hill and had a long driveway leading up to it. Really private feeling lot and the views are incredible!!! The cabin was super super clean and so spacious! Walking in, the great room was so open and light and the sofa was facing that amazing view through huge glass french doors of the mountain and pine trees with snow covering them, it was breathtaking! We had such an amazing time! We did sledding on the property (sorry I think we may have cracked one of the sleds, call us so we can pay for it!) which was great and our 4 year old loved it! There were the perfect amount of bedrooms and the master upstairs had the amazing view from the bedroom! Our 4 year old slept in the other bedroom upstairs which she loved...and there was a huge closet type space off the master, which we put our 5 month old baby in..her pack and play fit perfect and then she was near us.:-). We cooked in the kitchen both nights and the kitchen we fully equipped with everything one would need! We also fed the bluebirds and one squirrel the peanuts that were left and that was so fun! So many great moments we ail cherish and we will definitely be back! We had such a great trip this time and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! I cannot stress how much we love Idyllwild and your home! We are considering buying a 2nd home up there eventually and if you ever decide to sell please let us know! :-)Idyllwild is so special and I love that it's our "little secret"...not many people know about it and that keeps it sweet, quiet and unique.Thanks again!The Lawrence Family...Kirstin, Elliot, Summer and Charlotte (oh and Maggie the golden retriever we also loved it up there!)


Just Perfect
Bella Luna was absolutely perfect in every way.The cabin is well built and very clean. It had nice big rooms, full bathrooms and a great, stocked kitchen. The spa was all ready when we arrived! I really enjoyed waking to a blue jays singing and squirrels running around in the area. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone. I hope to visit soon. 


The Bella Luna Was Perfect
We wanted a "home away from home" where we could enjoy the mountains, but still have a nice kitchen to cook in and a room where our large family could fit and enjoy playing games, watching movies, etc. The large balcony with jacuzzi & gas barbecue was perfect. Plenty of seating and very peaceful. There are cabins close by but we never heart any noise from any of them except for an occasional dog barking. The cabin is bright and full of energy which is what I hoped for after seeing the photos. The views of Tahquitz Rock & Peak are gorgeous. There are many birds to watch and we even saw a couple of coyotes. It definitely met our needs for a week long stay. Loved it!! Martha is so helpful and available. I recommend working with her!! 


What a great weekend
I just wanted to thank Martha (rental agent) as well as the owners of this beautiful house for sharing this piece of heaven with me and my friends. It was a great experience and I sure will be visiting again soon.


Bella Luna
We loved Bella Luna. There were 6 women staying at the cabin. However, we had plenty of room to move around in the living area. We spent every evening sitting on the deck watching the stars and sitting in the hot tub. The weather in Idyllwild in august was ideal. Such a relief from the desert heat! Only suggestion we had was a better music system. The little boom box on the kitchen counter didn't do well with our CDs. We'll be sure to bring an ipod dock on our next visit. And there will be one for sure! 


Another breathe taking experience in Idyllwild
Bella Luna was a wonderful choice with the help of Marsha Sanchez. The location was great and the home was absolutely breathe taking. Sitting in the spa and enjoying the gorgerous view was so relaxing.I loved the lay out of the home and all the amenities it had. I would certainly would consider renting this home again. However, it is more suited for a younger couple, too many steps, uneven ground and a steep driveway. It made it difficult to walk the dog.

Wonderful!
As soon as we told Martha about a non-working appliance, she saw to it that it was replaced. Martha is always upbeat and friendly. Bella Luna appears to be quite new, was immaculate, bright and cheery. It is a short drive from town, quiet - up a driveway at the end of a cul-de-sac. It was very comfortably furnished: a double/full-sized bed downstairs, and the two bedrooms upstairs each have queen-sized beds. It accommodated the 6 of us very nicely: a family of four and 2 grandparents.It afforded us some quality time together. 


Beautiful view of Tahquitz
After our long hike, we enjoyed coming back to a comfortable and clean cabin. We later enjoyed a full moon over Tahquitz which was totally beautiful. Wish there were some sort of window blinds or shades in the bedroom windows or else you will be up with the sun. I have worked with Martha before and she is a gem to work with. She always return your calls and ready to answer any questions you may have.

Absolutely amazing place
Bella Luna was everything we could have asked for in a vacational rental home. Everything from the property itself to the management was just splendid. Idyllwild is a beautiful place to spend some time out in nature and Bella Luna was more than we could have dreamed of in terms of accomodations. Bellisimo!
I stayed here along with my wife and two little ones. We had a fun, relaxing time! The kids enjoyed snow play and sledding for the first time here...very special memories at Bella Luna. We loved the attention to detail provided by Martha and the management company, starting with easy check-in, great directions to the cabin (we were concerned because we got there late at night), and information about the amenities and how things work in the cabin. We had one small glitch with figuring out how to get the spa temp cooled down and Martha drove right over to take care of that. The view of Tahquitz is awesome. I enjoyed a little "Dad time" out on the deck...just me, the BBQ, a beverage, taking in the scenery and serenity of the mountain... Loved it and will probably return in the not so distant future. Thank you!


We'll definitely remember this cabin for future stays!
We loved this cabin! We got there fairly late in the evening and it was so nice to come to an already warm, well-lit cabin. We will be keeping this cabin in mind for future stays. It was so nice. It was clean, bright, and had nearly everything you need- with the exception of food, some seasonings, coffee filters, and shampoo. But even with that it had much more than we had expected.Martha was wonderful to work with. She is quick to answer calls and return calls and is very helpful. I had a lot of questions and she was very patient and kind.My only complaint was that the spa was too hot. At 110 degrees we had red lines on our bodies from where the water ran up to. We had to get out within 5 minutes and stop forcing ourselves to enjoy it, as it was a main reason for choosing this cabin. But everything else about the cabin made up for it! It was a very nice getaway!

We had a great time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our get away weekend at Bella Luna. The cabin is charming and has a lovely view. I do wish that there were queen or 2 single beds in each room instead of doubles - they are just not big enough. The faucet in the downstairs bathroom is coming off and the dryer was filled with parts, it looks like they are fixing it. Other than that we loved it!

We had a wonderful time!Bella Luna is truly amazing!Martha was helpful and always available when we had a question or two.Bella Luna is in a peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Just minutes to town.We had wonderful views of the mountains from every room!We were able to have family time and watch the small birds and animals in the mornings with our coffee.Our two little dogs, Angel and Lucky had a great time too.There was just enough snow for our son Jake to have some fun in the snow!We hope to visit Idyllwild again and will definitely rent from Martha again!The O'Briens


Relaxing and Beautiful
This beautiful cabin is spacious, clean, beautiful and amply stocked with games, books and movies so that you don't have to leave to look for entertainment. The spa was a bonus. My husband and I were so comfortable that we only left for one lunch meal. The rest of the time we played games, cooked and relaxed in the hot tub. We had a wonderful time.


Beautiful cabin, ok location
We loved the cabin, it was very comfortable and clean. The location was just ok for us as our kids wanted more of an outdoor area with trees and forest to play in. This cabin is private but surrounded on all sides by other cabins so exploring out of the property line, you end up in someone's yard close by. This property is built on a large boulder of rock so not as many trees and the ground is not level around the property if you need extra help with elderly guests or small children. The furnishings were very nice but none of the windows have any type of blind or shade so at night, you are in full view and plan on getting up early because the sun will be beaming in your face first thing in the early morning. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been more trees/land and a window shade in the bedrooms. Everything we needed was provided. Last day was a little annoying because although we weren't staying the extra night, we were given the buy 2 nights get one free so I was told we could leave at our leisure on the last day but we received a phone call around 2pm wanting us to leave so they could show the cabin to someone else renting for the holidays. Although we were planning on leaving soon anyway, that bothered me and its a good thing we didn't decide to stay that extra night. Our packing up the car just seemed rushed when the property managements car was waiting at the bottom of the driveway with clients in it. Was still a very nice getaway and I would use this company again.

First Time to Idyllwild!
We stayed at the Stars Hollow and it was such a charming cabin. The cabin itself was very cozy and comfy. It had everything we needed. There was a group of us that went together and the cabin was the perfect place for us! It was peaceful and quiet. The service was outstanding. Great time had by all! We will definitely use this service again. Hopefully very soon.

Great Family Getaway!
Our family stayed at Stars Hollow over the 2013 Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen was great, family size and perfect for cooking Thanksgiving dinner. This place had everything we needed to feel right at home. Pictures don't do justice, very nice place to stay. Location was quiet and was close enough to enjoy walks into "town". Great patio that would be perfect in the summer. Cant wait to go back. 


met my expectations
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was in great shape, but the only down side is there's only 1 full bath downstairs so the guests who slept upstairs had to come down to take a shower. Equally inconvenient, the half bath upstairs was not in the hallway and the stairs were unusually steep. Otherwise, the cabin is great. Wonderful little kitchen, large dining table and eating area .Great decor. 


Thanksgiving Holiday
This beautiful cabin was the highlight of our family vacation. Perfectly located from town, fully stocked kitchen, beautfully decorated cabin that was roomy for our group of seven. We felt right at home. Looking forward to having this as a family tradition:)

House is much nicer than the pictures, very clean and well kept. Only a few minute walk to the restaurants. Nice large back yard and outdoor patio. The only reason it is not a 5 star because it only has one full restroom and half.

Awesome get-away. It was 4 couples the only minor problem was having only one shower,a bathroom and a half, other than that it was great.

Cozy and clean with great views!
We have been going to Idyllwild for the past couple years and always go through Idyllwild Vacation Cabins. Martha is always helpful, & check-in/out is a breeze. Alpine Chalet is a cozy and clean cabin. The view and peacefulness while enjoying the deck and jacuzzi were great! I would definitely stay here again.


Peaceful mountain retreat with all the amenities!
We had the best time here at alpine Chalet! The weather was cool and foggy the first day which was great for the hot tub... the second day we woke up to the gorgeous view I was anxiously anticipating for the mountains in the distance (which we hiked up that afternoon...awesome hike, take lots of water and snacks and get wilderness pass in town of Idyllwild before trying to hike anywhere). The cabin was cozy and fit all of us, the only "downside" was no doors to bedrooms to close off the sound of snoring friends ;) We used the grill to cook and the fireplace to keep warm. The bathroom is good size and updated so that was great...even considering there was only one bathroom it worked out well for all of us :)I highly recommend staying here...we all agreed we would book this specific cabin again in the future!Enjoy!


Amazing Experience
We were searching for a calm, tranquil place to get married in the woods. Martha and Christopher were amazing to work with. They helped us find this secluded, lovely cabin which fit our needs wonderfully. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We plan on coming back every year on our anniversary. 


Wonderful and just the right fit!
Martha was wonderful to work with. I told her the reason for my visit and she suggetsed the perfect place for a romantic get-away anniversary weekend.My husband and I had a great time and really enjoyed the peace and privacy of this quaint and artistic home.If everyone ran their vacation rental business like Martha there would be no reason for second guessing any upcoming trip. Best view in the valley!
We had a wonderful time. The view from the deck was well worth the stay ( I walked the whole area and it had the best view by far from any of the other houses on the block)! The hot tub was a nice bonus also. The only complaint I had was with the TV/DVD player. When you would play a dvd it would be static most of the way through the movie. It would have been nice if it was a blu-ray instead of an outdated dvd player. We brought some blu-ray dvds and weren't able to play them. Also, a new Hdmi cable would have been nice to see instead of all those crazy wires coming out of the tv to dvd unit. We had a little trouble figuring out how to get stations with the tv meaning what input channel it needed to be on. I believe it was input 5 for the tv and input 9 for the dvd player. Luckily we had someone there who knew electronics otherwise we would have been without being able how to figure out how to watch the TV ( a users guide on the coffee table would have been helpful. I wonder if the owner's ever actually tried to watch tv or a full dvd all the way through). Although we had plenty of towels, there were only two washclothes for the place. Also, even though the beds were very comfy, there weren't enough pillow cases for the extra pillows in the closet. The kitchen was very nice. The icecube maker wasn't working and there were only two icetrays(luckily we brought extra). Also, it would have been nice to have a pitcher there to make tea or orange juice. After all is said and done, I would still stay there in a heartbeat! 


Breathtaking View
The alpine Chalet offers a breathtaking view. The cabin was adorable and the service that Idyllwild Vacations Cabins was excellent. We had a great weekend that offered quiet and a great view of the outdoors! 


beautiful views and total relaxation!!
I called to see about renting a cabin for a weekend stay and while talking to Martha, she was so helpful and nice to me on the phone, I decided on staying for a week. That was a very good decision since our stay was a very memorable one. My husband and I and our daughter and her fiancee and their dog had a wonderful time in our cabin--Alpine Chalet. The cabin was perfect!!! Had all the comforts of home and many more. The view from the wrap around deck were so awesome and the yard was fenced in so the dog had a play area too. It was so peacefully quiet and that made the hot tub on the deck a perfect beginning and end to a wonderful day. I can't say enough good things about the cabin and especially how well we were treated by Martha and her son. I loved the kitchen with its state of the art appliances and the bbq grill was the best. Having cable and internet was definitely a plus for us too. There were so many places to eat and stuff to do in Idyllwild . There was not a thing to not like about this vacation. I would recommend everyone heading to this area in California to call Martha and have a wonderful vacation like we did. 


Fully detoxed from the city
My wife and I spent our 5yr anniversary at the alpine Chalet to get away from the la smog, traffic and normal hustle-n-bustle. We had never visited Idyllwild, but both grew up in the Southeast. We wanted to just "sit" calmly and quietly without hearing, seeing or being in the usual impatient and hurrying circumstances we have during the week. The alpine Chalet delivered in a huge way!!!The property manager Martha was prepared and pleasant and the property was immaculate. We had the comforts we're used to, but still had the "cabin feeling" we wanted. The alpine Chalet was absolutely spotless and perfectly situated for privacy and seclusion for us to enjoy our anniversary alone. We spent the weekend enjoying the beautiful views from the private hot tub of the snow-capped mountains while enjoying our wine and laughing and remembering our past 5yrs together. I can say without a doubt that we will return, and when we do, it will be to the alpine Chalet. Btw...breakfast at the Red Kettle was also great. I would tell you more but then it may be reserved when we go to book our next visit. Haha! Seriously speaking...any couple looking for a getaway with great amenities and privacy within a short drive from la should look very closely at the alpine Chalet. It exceeded our expectations and my wife and I travel very often and have been all over the us and abroad. 


Relaxing mountain getaway
This cabin was perfect for a family of 4 for 3 nights. We were there during the first snow so it was very cold to say the least. Management had turned on the heat ahead of time to welcome us, nice touch. Downtown is about a 30 - 45 minute hike one way, teenagers love it...jk! The hot tub was a daily routine during our stay and the view was amazing. Our black lab loved the enclosed big yard and all the squirrels. Martha form Idyllwild vacation rentals was friendly and helpful in recommending some great places to eat. Will use this service again. Maybe a cabin a little closer to town next time.


What a magical place
Alphine Chalet was one of the cosyiest cabins with amazing views. Very clean and put together. Had everything in the cabin you would need. The views from the deck were just magical and best part, there is a hot tub out there! It's great for a family or a romantic get away. It was like being in a small town with a big city mentality. Amazing hiking trails. I highly recommend this get away! 


An amazing Stay
I took my Fiance here for our 3 year anniversary and we both absolutely loved it. It is a very private cabin, and the view you get from the large deck in the back is absolutely amazing. I dont think i've ever been more relaxed in my life. You can sit out back and just listen to the wind blowing. The jacuzzi on the deck was brand new and roomy. the kitchen is fully stocked to cook some awesome meals. The cabin was very clean, the bed is very comfortable and it stays very cool, even on a hot day. You are only 5 minutes of driving away from the town. Everything was great and I'm already thinking about the next trip up.

Nicely appointed cabin with great view. A bit small, but cozy. It only lacks a hot tub. Great support from the agency.


Extremely relaxing
The service was excellent from the first phone call I made to Martha, until we left the hill. The alpine Chalet was very comfortable and very clean. Martha was always available. The location was very private and the view was gorgeous. The home had everything we needed for our stay. What we loved best was the privacy and the view. We were very comfortable.

Nice overall experience
This cabin was a nice experience all around: easy with the reservation/deposit aspect, getting settle in and out, the cabin was clean, plenty of dishes/utensils/condiments/bed-wear.It was nestled amongst other cabins but in a remote area with a great view of mountains in the distance with tall pines and trees in the foreground.10 minutes from town.The only thing I found lacking and needing better of what is there now is a television set. The flat screen there is way too high (above the enormous fireplace) and too small (32") for that area. It seriously give one a neck ache. A 50 or so would be more appropriate.Otherwise, it was a great experience and one cabin that I would recommend.



Wonderful!
I booked the cabin for a weekend getaway with my family. Martha and staff were excellent in helping us get settled in the cabin. Great cabin with a rustic feel. The hot tub was excellent. Definitely worth coming back to Idyllwild.

 
The Crow's Nest provided a wonderful venue for our family gather
The Crow's Nest provided a wonderful venue for our four-day family gathering of five adults and one dog! The kitchen was incredibly well supplied, which greatly assisted our Thanksgiving meal preparations. Between episodes of eating (including use of the barbeque and table on the ample, deck) we relaxed in front of the two fireplaces, watched videos, played pool, and lounged in the hot tub. We didn't get around to playing the games provided, because we chose to walk in the lovely wooded neighborhood, take a longer hike on a nearby trail, and explore the charming town. The visit provided many fond memories and wishes to return.

 
Most Relaxed I Have Been In a Long Time
This place was amazing! I went with my best friend and my dog and it was quiet, had everything we wanted (yard for the dog, jacuzzi, billiard table, fireplace). It was just what we needed for a weekend out of the city. We spent most of our time on the deck grilling food, listening to music blaring from in town and enjoying the great outdoors! This place was big enough for up to 8+ people to sleep comfortably - we will definitely be coming back!


 
Wow!!!
We drove to Idylwild on a last minuter lark and were fortunate to secure the Sunset House, We thoroughly enjoyed the booking service and the house was just what we wanted: Beautiful surroundings, well furnished attractive house, solitude and noisy neighbors in the morning collecting food on the ground and in the trees. (We felt like Jim Carey in one of his animal movies) The supermarket in Idylwild as also a plus for service and honesty.We're trying to figure out how to get away again to Sunset House so Idylwild Vacation Cabins is now in our favorites and speed dial...Tom Wilkinson
 

Sunset House Beauty!
I would love to give a huge thanks to Martha for making our first time to Idyllwild a fantastic experience!! We went online and saw several cabins to stay at and several companies to go with. When I saw the thoughtful and very sincere reviews about Idyllwild Vacation Cabins I was very impressed. That is when i went on the site and found the Sunset House. By reading it i saw that it wasn't close but not far (at all) from town and that was something I really enjoyed. Exactly what you see in the pic is what you get x's 100! This place is sitting in a beautiful area. Nestled in between tons of trees and forest like area. The set-up of the house is perfect having first walked into the living room with a bathroom, that being opened to the kitchen and dining room. Then down stairs the two private bedrooms and another bathroom. The greatest part of the whole thing (besides the views and quietness only to hear birds) was since we were celebrating a birthday, Martha was kind enough to have balloons and a bday banner put up in the cabin so when we got there and walked in my boyfriend saw it and was surprised. Very Very sweet of her to be so personal about your stay and having such great cutout service. And don't forget, when staying here, you must stay out when it gets dark and see the amazing stars. While we stayed there was tons of shooting stars! Beautiful place to stay. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful
My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights. We loved every min we were there. The view of the trees were very pretty. There were a couple different birds we got to see like the steeler jays,they would come up close to check us out. We had a great time and plan on coming back soon! 


We had a very nice time!!
When we visited Idyllwild Vacation Cabin to reserve our weekend, we were very please with the reception we got from Martha and her mom. We stayed at Idyll Pines the weekend of 8/31 for 2 nights. The cabin was great, had everything we needed. We were able to open the bedroom windows and let the fresh mountain air in, which is something we hadn't been able to do in Hemet because of the heat. We ate at some very good local restaurants like Mile High Cafe. On Saturday night, a local dog barked all night long. Even with ear plugs in, it didn't stop the noise. What we liked least was the stairs that had to be climbed. It was definitely a workout on our legs. We would definitely stay there again if there wasn't another cabin available. We would try out another cabin. If you have trouble walking in any way, shape or form, this definitely isn't the cabin you want to stay in. 


Nice and wonderful cabin
It was a pleasure to stay at your place. My kids love it and they would like to come back again. Although, we did not encountered much snow which was not really good, however, we can't go against nature, but the stay was nice. Thanks.



I wish I went more often
Very spacious and nice settings. All of my family liked the half-open space with dining table and screen. Having breakfast inside the screened dining was pretty good. I recommend to go in summer to enjoy all the morning wood scent and the sound of bird singing right on your deck.

I had no troubles finding the cabin, key pick up and drop off was very easy and the people I was in contact with were very kind. I love it up there, it is so peaceful and relaxing


Great getaway weekend!
This was our second stay at Marion Creek cabin and we loved it. We were hoping for snow but it was a warm winter in Idyllwild so no luck. No matter, we had my daughter's birthday, cooked a fabulous dinner in the well-laid out kitchen, had fires, utilized the jacuzzi and hiked a new trail. We had dinner in town one night at Cafe aroma, our favorite spot and checked out the art show happening at the Town Hall. Martha and her crew were very helpful. It was an easy & relaxing weekend. All you really need to bring is toiletries, although we always seem to pack too much? We plan on coming back in May! Thanks to Idyllwild Vacation cabins & Martha!


Our best trip yet!!!
This cabin is right on the creek! we ha d the windows open all day and night. The staircase is a bit sketchy for small children and tall adults. The furniture was pretty comfortable and the cabin was very clean and tidy. There were 9 of us one day and we still found it to be roomy. if we weren't all cozied up around the gorgeous fireplace, we were all playing outside or walking the creek. The kids had a blast! We stayed three nights and it was far too short. Plans for a week long stay are in the works.

Beautiful Cabin!
I spent my bachlorette party weekend at the Starlight Seclusion and it was just perfect. It's beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you need. It was spotless clean. The shower has amazing water pressure and the hot tub was just what we all needed. There were 4 of us and it was very cozy and comfortable. The only complaint was that there wasn't any firewood. I would have liked to be informed about this ahead of time. I would definitely stay here again.


Cozy romatic little cabin.
This is a super cute, cozy little cabin. Excellent for a romantic getaway. My boyfriend and I had a great time here. The hot tub isa wonderful way to end the day looking at the stars while it snows!Just make sure you don't lock yourself out! Be aware there is no dishwasher, wi-fi or cable but who careswhen you want to get away from it all. Probably best for one couple or a couple with 2 kids. It would be tight to fit two couples in this cabin.I will definitely be back. 


A perfect place to escape, relax and reconnect with family.
The cabin was equipt with everything you would need in the kitchen. It was a surprise to find even a waffle maker. We loved the view and the hot tub. The parking and driving was nail biting being in the snow and ice and narrow road. The video library provided hours of entertainment. Having a fire in the fire place made it cozy. It was fun finding what others had left behind and we enjoyed adding our little finds. We would like to make this a family tradition!


Secluded
Cabin is very secluded,quiet and charming. Did not think I could live without cable tv and internet for 3 days. But with the jacuzzi, BBQ, taking walks, reading and boardgames, time flew. Just wished it was a little cooler. Martha and her mother were very helpfull and left us alone, which we wanted. We would stay there again. 


Not quite as expected!
The cabin is secluded, quiet and it has very nice views but it is rundown. The furniture and carpet was torn and stained. The bed creaked with the slightest movement, the bathroom floor was uneven and the shower enclosure was metal and very small. The hot tub seemed as if had not been maintained very well. My wife's new bathing suit was ruined. This would be a great cabin if its furniture gets updated and thoroughly clean.

Dear ArturoBack in April the property did have an older couch and it may have made the cabin seem run down. The owner did replace the sofa and has purchased a new queen bed in the master bedroom.The location is nice and secluded and we try to keep the prices reasonable for all guest. The Hot tubs are always carefully maintained and the bromine tabs left in the floater to keep it balanced. It is possible it was a little hi in bromine and may have faded the bathing suit.I apologize and invite you to visit again and see the cabin improvements. amazing romantic weekend in an adorable cabin!
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a secluded romantic hideaway, sitting in the hot tub under the stars surrounded by nature, yet only a short drive from the adorable town of Idyllwild. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking, the hot tub was ready to go when we showed up, and we even loved the retro VHS and DVD movie collection! One of my favorites was looking through all the little knick knacks and containers throughout the cabin and finding little memories and love notes left from previous guests. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks!

Great view
We liked the location very much. The add said it sleeps 6,it does but not very comfortably. If there were young children I would not recommend this house. It said there were two loft spaces but really there was only one. The other above the kitchen is more of a platform and you have to crawl on your hands and knees. The vertical ladder(no slant)to get up there is very difficult to get up and down. The fold out couch mattress was so uncomfortable that two people could not sleep well, and one person had to sleep diaganly so your back didn't hurt. Same with the bed in the bottom bedroom. The jaquzzi never turnred off so you heard it all night shut off and then kick back in again. We turned the heat way low so it would not do it as often. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, but the masking tape(that was peeling off) on the floor to keep one from slipping was a bit tacky. We had to go and buy a long lighter to turn on the bbq because the ignighter switch does not work, which is fine but it would have been great to know that before hand. Unfortunatly we did not get a lot of quite time because the neighbor was working on his deck and sanding and sawing all day. At night though it was very peacfull and the veiw of the stars were great. We were 4 people staying there and I would not do that again. I would stay there again with just two people if the mattresses were better.


Peaceful, cozy and very comfortable
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at starlight seclusion. We had come to the area to attend the BNP Tennis tournament in Indian Wells and we found the quiet and solitude of the cabin a nice change to the busyness and heat of the desert. We found the kitchen well stocked with all the conveniences and pots and pans we needed. The living area is very comfortable and bright. The hot tub was a highlight and was ready to roll when we arrived late on our first evening. The one concern would be lighting to the front door to help with late night arrival. That is the one and only negative comment. Martha and her mom were extremely accommodating and made our stay very simple and stress free. We would readily recommend Idyllwild Vacation Cabins and Starlight seclusion. 


Idyllic
I only give 4 stars because of a couple glitches- but what else to expect from a mountain cabin?!It was overall absolutely fantastic and adorable. I have already called my entire call list to recommend this little gem. It's as cute (though smaller- but hey- I live in la where we're all obnoxious and spoiled) as it looks in pictures. And I love the vhs player (with dvd) with labeled movies (I went for my one-year anniversary and watching "Beauty and the Beast" definitely won over any alternative- apologies to my man :)Martha (and her mom) were so helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much Martha! 


Quaint, Relaxing Getaway
We had a great time. The cabin was clean, had all we could have wanted. Everything, including the all too crucial hot tub, was prepped and waiting for our arrival. 


Great time
Very nice cabin, great for 2-3 people.Everything was as promised and Martha had it ready for us with the spa, lights and heat on. The only thing missing was a bundle of dry wood for the fireplace.We did not have any energy after the long drive to go out that night, so we had to wait 'till the next day.The kitchen is not big, but has pretty much everything, we had no trouble cooking the whole Thanksgiving dinner.It is very peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful night sky. We had wonderful time, and will definitely stay there again.

After spending a few minutes on the phone with her, I could tell she takes great pride in her cabins and I knew her service would be exceptional. Our experience was even better than we expected when we stayed in Starlight Seclusion. The cabin was clean, very well maintained, and furnished for optimum comfort. Our daughters loved the main upstairs loft and we all slept very well. The most peaceful and relaxing vacation in a cabin ever!
Trisha and I just wanted to thank you for the great time in our Cabin rental this past weekend (Oct. 27 to Oct. 30). It was the most peaceful, relaxing, and fun time we've had in a very long time. I give 5 stars for every aspect of the trip and stay. No matter when or what I called you for during our time there you were always right there to assist us, thank you. We will most definitely be coming back to you personally for our next vacation rental. We Loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. I wish I could get away to Idyllwild every month! Wonderul
Everything was perfect! The hot tub right outside our door was delightful, the location of the cabin was terrific. The cabin was clean some of the kitchen items were dusty. The bed we slept in was uncomfortable and the shower was tiny. Our stay overall, was truly great! Our dog loved every minute of it!!


Beautiful property but poorly kept
The cabin was exactly as pictured on the website - secluded, lovely views, hot tub, fireplace, and so on. However, it was very buggy and dusty. There were cobwebs on the lamps, on the wood by the fire, on the windows, in the shower, on both sides of the bathroom mirror, and so on in that fashion. Some sort of inch-long insect (earwigs?) dive-bombed us from the rafters every half hour or so, and there were plenty of spiders wandering around to keep the earwigs company. Indelible memory: the matched set of spiders waiting for us on the bathroom towels. I was surprised the management company was willing to rent a property in that condition. Good points: the kitchen and bedroom were clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location was quiet and peaceful. It's really a beautiful cabin.Surprised to find there was no parking.

Dear Andrea Thank you so much for your feedback. After you and I spoke the morning you checked out, I personally visited the cabin. I realized that the initial clean of the cabin had not included the ceilings and rafters. The customer is always right and so upon your departure the cleaning staff embarked on a two day deep clean. All the ceilings and rafters were reached with ladders and wiped and cleaned. We removed the wood by the fireplace area and all bedding was removed and laundered. We also moved furniture so as to make sure the cabin was cleaned properly.We've had 3 other guests since and no more spiders. It is a great cabin and it is wonderful location as you mentioned. Please come revisit Starlight Seclusion. We care about your feedback here at Idyllwild Vacation Cabins so we've made sure that all the issues you mentioned were addressed . The cabin looks great ! I'm glad I choose to stay at the bungalow, it was clean,comfortable, and amazing view and Martha Sanchez was very friendly and on top of things. Great time in the mountians
Had a nice time with family during Thanks Giving. The cabin was clean and neat. Highly recommend to any family wanting to get away and has a four leg friend that needs to come along, .Great backyard for pets.We will definitely come back.


Very nice cabin with modern amenities, just bring an air freshener
I booked this cabin at the last minute for myself at Christmas. Martha was nice enough to rent it to me while she was busy with her own Christmas Eve plans. The cabin itself is really nice -- beautiful, with lots of open windows and open ceilings and gorgeous views. It also has a big stone fireplace with wood and central heat, which is rare. It's a 2-bedroom, so there's plenty of room for the whole family and a nice, modern kitchen with all the appliances you could ask for, including a dishwasher and stacked washer/dryer. It also has a big fenced backyard for pets, which made it a total winner for me. The dogs loved being able to roam around safely out back and it was great for me to have them with me on those dark, forest nights. The only drawback was the living room couches. They are so old and nasty that it makes the whole place stink. I would not even sit on them without putting comforters over them, and cranked up my air ionizer to full the entire time I was there (3 days). I noticed that when I did not have the ionizer on, the smell came right back. For what they charge for the rental, they could easily buy new couches and even charge a little more for the place. Putting two leather couches would really add to the upscale feel and would eliminate the only reason I would not give it a 5-star rating. Hopefully they will listen to this review and replace the couches so you can have a wonderful experience!The rental company was always there when I called, but their attitude was very rushed and not personal at all. I would have appreciated them meeting me and showing me around the place, where the lights were, etc., but they just left a key in an envelope and some rudimentary directions that were hard to follow in the dark. For $229 a night, it would have been nice to have more personal service. But it was the holiday, and I was grateful to have them rent me the place. I did have a great time and even met Santa the next morning at a local cafe.

Great !!!
We spent three nights at Pine Ridge. It was a perfect stay with fantastic weather. All of us and the dogs loved it. It is a very roomy and comfortable cabin. It had all the amenities we could hope for. The large fenced back yard was perfect for our dogs and that's what we were hoping for. The barbecue in the back fit perfectly for our needs and having DirecTV as well as wireless internet access made it even better. The location is private and peaceful. Checking in and out was very easy and Martha answered all our questions and concerns. It was a great getaway. I strongly recommend it and we're looking forward to coming back.


Peaceful
The service was great. The home was perfect for the two of us. We picked this home because of our dogs. The backyard was great and the fencing around the yard was perfect. Every area of the fence was secure. The location was great. It was very close to downtown. We went at a perfect time, the weather was really nice and the cabins were empty around us. Sitting on the deck in the morning drinking a cup of coffee was so enjoyable.


We had a very comfortable and relaxing weekend.
We needed to get away and unwind before the hectic school schedule began. I booked the Pine Ridge cabin and was pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. My husband kept thanking me all weekend for forcing us to unwind. We'll be back soon!


A Great Time
We spent a wonderful four days at the Pine Ridge cabin. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen, relaxing on the front porch, watching squirrels in the trees, and letting the dogs play in the back yard.

We love this cabin, and this was the first time to rent through Martha Sanchez. Martha was thoughtful and met all of our needs promptly. We'll be back!

Loved it!
Small cabin with a huge yard! The cabin managed to stay pretty cool during our summer weekend and the dogs absolutely loved the giant, fenced yard. We're definitely keeping this cabin on our short list of places to visit again :)


Great cabin to relax and enjoy some fresh air!
Very cute cabin in a lovely area. Has a wonderful large porch with fantastic views. Neighbors are close enough that you don't feel totally isolated, but far enough away that you have plenty of peace and privacy. The interior was clean. The kitchen had every pot and utensil you could possibly need to make any meal. Bathroom was stocked with fresh towels and TP. The yard is huge and fenced, our dogs had a blast running around, chasing squirrels and exploring - one of our dogs is very upset that we brought her back home! The check in process was simple. Maria was very helpful, patient with questions and friendly. The instructions to the cabin provided to us were very clear and made finding the cabin easy. Overall the whole trip was a great experience.

A Beautiful Retreat
We stayed for one weekend. The cabin was cosy, the view from the living room fantastic. An unseasonable snow blew in, and we enjoyed watching it fall, as we sat by the fire. Martha and her crew came and dug us out, on Sunday, so we had no worries about driving away. The cabin is well equipped and beautifully situated.


A peaceful, comfortable cabin with beautiful mountain views...
I stayed at this cabin with one other friend. It was my first experience. I liked it here. It was peaceful getaway I needed. This cabin is comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It is very close to town by car. And if you're up for a hike and an exercise, then you can hike/walk down to the town center. There were great restaurants in town. Two I tried and loved were La Casita Mexican Restaurant and Cafe aroma. There are also local shops worth stopping in like angels in the Cottage, Himalayan Treasures and the Soap Shop. Also, checkout the local coffee shop. The only thing is that it's an older cabin. So don't expect contemporary or updated interior. I actually took my own bedding, even though it was available. It does have everything you'll need. I would return to this haven of a town and this cabin. 


We felt relaxed and had the comforts of home.
We loved the yard (especially our four-legged kiddo), fully fenced and beautiful view. Inside, our only complaint was wishing for a dishwasher! Everything worked, and there were ample cooking supplies for a fun-filled weekend. We liked being close to town, but having a sense of privacy. 


We loved the huge fenced yard!
We were completely happy with the Mountain View cabin, and so were our dogs. The yard was huge (and secure), and the cabin was well-appointed and homey. Everything worked just fine. We had a really nice time.


Our New Years stay at Mountain View
The house is lovely and the yard amazing. The heatlamps in the bathroom were an added plus, the kitchen a good size. But, you had to sit on a couch pillow or you would sink way down. The bed upstains was very nice but the twin bed in front of the door downstairs was a nightmare. We will stay in Idyllwild again, martha was wonderful, but will select a different cabin.

We had a super time. the cabin was great and the friendliness and service by Martha was excellent. We will definately be back.


Cozy Cabin
The staff at Idyllwild Vacation Cabins was so friendly and attentive to our needs. While the cabin was older and could have used some updating, it was clean, comfortable, quiet and very affordable.


Great Place to Relax and for Doggies
We had a great time at Mountain View. The fenced in propery was very nice and I was happy our dogs had a large, enclosed, safe area to run around in. I also liked that we could park our car on the property.The house was cozy and clean and offered great views. My only critique is that I wished it was decorated more modernly, and little more tastefully. The directions/instructions written on the walls took away from the homey environment and made it more institutional.


Relaxing
This is a wonderful cabin! It was perfect for 5 people. The furnishings are a bit old, but very cozy. The view is wonderful and the fire place added to the relaxing weekend. The street was quiet and we felt as if we were the only ones on the mountain!


A perfect pet friendly location
We just returned from a weekend stay at the Mt. View cabin. We were two couples and a golden retriever. Searching the internet, I found the property and phoned the manager, Martha, for more info. I told her of our requirements and she assurred me that the Mt. View cabin would be perfect. It was! The cabin, although a bit dated, was very comfortable and had everything we could need. The fenced yard of over a half acre was fantastic for the dog. Secluded, close to great hiking and walking distance to town, the location was great. Martha's service was 1st rate and we look forward being back in the summer.


Christmas in Heaven!
We just got back from a 3 night stay at the Mountain View cabin in Idyllwild, and we have nothing but good things to report. We brought our dog, a black lab, who was in heaven running around the 1 acre lot, that was totally fenced it. It had just snowed the day before, so we were able to enjoy a white Christmas. The cabin itself was perfectly suited for us. It wasn't fancy per se - but had all the amenties we needed. A cozy fireplace, big open floorplan, fenced in back yard, big bedroom. Martha at Fern Valley Vacation Cabins was extremely friendly and accommodating. She moved one of the twin beds into the master bedroom which was perfect, so our 4 yr old son could sleep near us. When we arrived, the house was very clean, and already warm and cozy w/ the heat on. We loved the cabin, and definately plan to book a trip back there next year. 5 stars for Mountian View and Fern Valley Vacation Cabins!


Quiet, comfortable, and Conveniently Located
The look and feel of the cabin were very cozy and comfortable. The place was clean and tidy. The fireplace worked fantastic. The back yard area is perfect for a pet-friendly stay. The private driveway off of the road was nice, however in winter time it would require chains because it is a bit steep. There is a nice deck in the back with good afternoon sun which is perfect for relaxing. There is also a well stocked kitchen with everything one would need for an extended stay. The heater was very effective and kept the cabin at a good even temperature.

Loved it! Had never been to Idyllwild before and fell in love. Cabin was immaculate and we would definitely go back. Customer service was great!

This was our second year renting a vacation cabin through Martha at Idyllwild Vacation Cabins. Both years the experience was terrific. We absolutely adored the Keena cabin. It was nestled up against the mountain, with a view of suicide rock. It was cozy, and clean, and warm and even had cable TV. We loved the hot tub, and the swing on the porch as well. I would recommend Martha and her vacation cabins to anyone looking for a quaint getaway in the charming mountains of Idyllwild. 


Excellent customer service 
The cabin was clean and beautiful. The staff were kind-hearted and made us feel so welcome. We rarely left the cabin, it was so satisfying. We had a nice hot tub, a cute fireplace, high ceilings, a large yard. Our dogs enjoyed it, too!


It was alright
It's a little overpriced for what it is. Some things can use some simple updating such as the couch, and the utensils. The place is clean overall, but the couch is a bit grungy and should at least have a washable cover for hygiene. The jacuzzi was ok, it was hot and seemed well-maintained. The barbecue was gunky and didn't work well. What looked like ants came out of the toilet water when you flushed, but I suppose that's acceptable. On the plus side it was very private and a short distance from town, and had large windows in the living room (but small ones in the bedroom).

We try to keep all our prices reasonable. The cabin sleeps four guests and has a well maintained clean hot tub.If you look around for very secluded cabins with hot tub $150.00 a night is very reasonable. We have higher end cabins as well.It's true that the sofa needs replacing and the cabin owner has actually already agreed to replace it. I should be done by mid Oct. The BBQ has already been fixed and is working fine. I'm glad you at least enjoyed the location and views from the large windows. Great place except for...
It doesn't really sleep 4. The pull out sofa bed has a broken bar so the mattress (and I use that term loosely) falls through it. It's not even doable as a bed. If you want to cook in the kitchen, you should probably bring your own cooking implements, as the stuff there is borderline antique. The couches are quiet uncomfortable, sunken in. it's more comfortable to sit on the floor. On the flip side, it's secluded, quiet and in a beautiful area. Not too far from town, and a lovely area to take a morning or evening walk. There's a little horseshoe game out back and there are books and games for the kids. We've been back twice.

Secluded cabin but short distance from town
The Keena Camp was a great cabin, just a short drive from town but felt like wewere miles away. It has a great deck and part of it is fenced off so your dog (or child) can roam around safely. Nice king size bed, good sized living room and enough room in the kitchen to make simple meals. We took long walks in the neighborhood and it was a short drive to Humber Park where you can take some great hikes in the mountains. Very happy with our stay and Bella our dog gives it two paws up! As usual Martha was great in helping us. Renting cabins in Idyllwild is so simple. We come back every year. Love the town.


Awesome getaway!
My boyfriend & I stayed here over Memorial weekend & we fell in love. This is a perfect cabin for 2 & a dog. The property & view are great! The manager Martha is very sweet & helpful. I can't wait until we can rent it again. 


Very peaceful
My husband and I rented this cabin for 3 nights. We loved that it was pet friendy and we could bring our dog with us. The cabin is very private, with no neigbours close by. We would choose this cabin again in the future.

A stay in Paradise
I imagine driving through the town of Idyllwild to eastern most point above all the hustle and bussel of town, nd pulling up to a beautifully secluded Cabin nestleed in the pines. That was our introduction to Camp Keena. we were so impressed with the outsides it took us and the Dogs some time to get into the Cabin. Once in the cabin we opened all the wwindows and what a surprise a beautiful view in almost every direction. Martha and her staff made sure that we had everything we needed, especially the towels for the Jacuzzi out on the deck. We will be comming back to Camp Keena for years to come.

The personality of Jim Hagerty, cabin owner, is on full display in this cabin packed with original artworks and funky ceramic and furniture pieces bearing his artist's signature. The wood-burning stove was a real plus on a couple of cold December nights.Comfortable beds, great location just off the main drag but also walking distance from a good 2-hour hiking trail.We brought a little stereo for tunes which was a good move since the cabin has just an older TV with no VCR/DVD player and possibly no inputs. 


Our stay at artist's Retreat was wonderful.
When we arrived the lights were on which provided a harbinger of the welcoming we received. We could not have asked for more. The place was clean, there were towels available, and wood for the fireplace. I would recommend artist's retreat and Martha Sanchez to anyone looking for a great weekend in Idyllwild.

Peaceful retreat
The husband of a friend of mine decided to throw her a surprise birthday party in Idyllwild. I've seen the signs but never thought of going or staying. But it sounded like a great adventure so why not! The drive up was long due to traffic, and when I called, Martha told me the key would be waiting on the door of the office. I thought that was kind of odd, but once you get to Idyllwild, you understand. The people are very friendly and helpful. Not that many streetlights, but we managed to find the Birds Nest. There's a little carport underneath a large balcony. Once we entered, it was very inviting. After turning on the heater, it became warm and inviting. Great kitchen with everything you could possibly need to cook. You really felt like you were at home. There was even some cards and board games available. There was a large flat screen in the living room and some nice easy chairs. One issue with the property is that it says, "one bedroom" and it does have that, but it's not enclosed. So unfortunately, my snoring could be heard by the neighbors...just kidding, but the reason I look for one bedroom properties is because of my snoring. Comfy pullout sofa though. Also, there was no follow up after I sent an inquiry after our stay. Couple other things, you do have to take care of your own trash. If you are only staying for a few days, you can bring your trash to the bins at the office upon checkout. Also bring soap for the shower.


Relaxing
Thanks to the service and friendliness of "Idyllwild Vacation Cabins", we had a wonderful getaway on our 30th anniversary. Although this is a small cabin, we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and roomy it felt. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the furniture, art, and yet "woodsy" feel in the interior made for a great mountain retreat. We like to rockclimb and hike, so it's location near Humber Park, Taquitz and Suicide Rocks, made for an excellent location. The Cabin was well-stocked with dishes, all kinds of glasses, pots and pans and everything one needs for a couple looking for rest from the weariness of busy city life and raising a family in Southern California. I have no reservations about recommending this cabin and the services of these folks that manage the cabin. 


Birds Nest was perfect for these two Robin's and their brood!
We really enjoyed this little rental in Idyllwild and we were welcomed with our two old hound dogs. The porch was a great hang out for all of us. When we had a problem with the wi-fi Martha immediately had someone take care of us. Great folks to work with, thanks Martha!


Perfect getaway
Loved the birds nest, it was clean and comfortable. Well stocked. I loved the deck out back we could let the dog walk around without worrying and enjoy the view of the mountains. There were three of us so one slept on the pull out sofa, which wasn't great (are they ever) but being only 12 she was fine, wouldn't recommend it for an adult though.Thanks for a great couple nights.


Relatively uneventful weekend.
Unit was pretty clean and well equipped.Findings:Hot water wasn't turned on or not working. I didn't receive instructions to turn on.I did receive instructions to turn the water on outside - it was already on.Tv worked, but better instructions on channels would have been nice. The cable instruction in the unit was of no value.Many light bulbs were missing or burned out in the unit, particularly the porch light by back door.Toilet looks like it is leaking at floor.Refrigerator is very loud when running. I'd be worried about compressor going out soon.

Cozy and a perfect setting!
We couldn't have been happier with this wonderful, cozy little cabin. Being on a dirt road made it feel remote, but you're only about 5 minutes from the center of town. Dog friendly and a great area to walk them, with a balcony and fenced (only a couple of feet high) area that keeps them safe. We look forward to our next trip! 


Wonderful Little Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin very much. It was for my wife's birthday. Not the newest or best, it was quaint and the fireplace was wonderful. Nice extra was being able to bring our dogs. We plan to go again in the upcoming years.Everything worked and there was wireless internet and cable TV, albeit the kitchen was small but fully furnished, there wasn't enough outlets to plug all the appliances in at the same time.Note that if there is snow you'd need a 4 wheel drive to make up and down the dirt access road.

Great Excape
Perfect cabin for a couple with their pet and or a child. Everything right there for you. Only need bring your clothes and food!! Peaceful, quiet and secluded hideaway. Loved our stay so much returning in September!


This is a private, cozy, peaceful cabin.
We had a wonderful weekend. The cabin was clean and on a very quiet street. We enjoyed walking our dogs through the neighborhood and relaxing on the deck.


Date night and family day
We had a wonderful te. Husband and I were able to have a quiet evening alone and pick up our little boy the next day and spend fathers day together.artha was great and accommodating. The only comment is mattress was not real comfortable 


Peaceful get away
My husband, dog and I ventured to Idyllwild for a weekend away and to celebrate the arrival of our baby who will join us in august. We had such a wonderful time in the Cavaliere Cabin. It was clean, cozy and in a secluded area, yet not to far from town. It was so wonderful to sit on the deck any time of day and listen to the sounds of nature. Every morning and night we would make a small fire in the fire place and enjoy eachothers company. We can not wait to go back!!!


Our third stay at Cavalier and we'll definatly come back
Our one week end per year in Idyllwild will continue to be spent at the Cavalier cabin. This place is much larger than the photos suggest. Perfect for one couple. A great getaway. The dirt drive leading to the cabin adds to the sense of seclusion. Pay attention to the 4-wheele drive warning if it snows, but it's best to have that anyway (or all-wheele drive) in the general area during the winter. The forced air heat warms this baby up in a minute and a half. Bring Fido and hike the Ernie Maxwell trail. Huge romantic fireplace-bring lotsa wood. Kitchen and dining area make it comfortable to prepare meals and stay in. We'll be back...Patrick B. Chula Vista, Ca.


Relaxing and rejuvenating
We really enjoyed staying at Cavalier Cabin. We loved the intimacy of the interior and especially having real wood fires in the fireplace each evening. We had everything we needed there to enjoy our stay. The back patio was a wonderful place to sit and read, watch and listen to nature and just relax.


Clean Cozy and Peaceful, A relaxing place to escape
The Cavalier Cabin was a wonderful cabin to stay in. Booking reservations online were easy.The rental place where you pick up the key is 24 hours so you arent pressed for time, The cabin is secluded and very quiet. It is very clean and I am a clean freak. It feels so comfortable. We had snow and sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace watching the snow fall was heaven on earth. There is a great deck in the back with a BBQ grill. I cant wait to go back in the summer to sit and relax there. It is surrounded with trees and there are lots of squirels. It is very spacious as there are vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is clean and there is a coffee pot but remember to bring your own coffee as it isnt provided! It is the perfect place to escape and unwind.Absolutely beautiful. Also, since we got almost a foot of snow Martha the cabin keeper was so kind to call us to make sure we could get out. Even if we were stuck in the snow she would have sent somebody out to help us get out. That was really nice.Cant wait to come back.

 

An Excellent Thanksgiving Get away
We had a fantastic time! We checked into our Creekside Cottage with ease. Just stopped by the office and picked up our keys. Out cottage was cozy and rustic with a wood burning stove in the living room. Our 2 dogs had a huge back yard to run around in and we hit the Harvest Festival and checked out the annual Tree Lighting in the middle of the town square. Idyllwild is a quaint, Mom and Pop Store and restaurant kind of town. Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer! Martha and her family we helpful the whole time we were there, directing us on the "must see and do's" of the town. We are looking forward to our next stay there!


Fantastic Romantic Getaway
We stayed in this wonderful cabin for my girlfriend's birthday weekend and had a fantastic time. The cabin is small, but very romantic. The cabin is set down and back from the street so there is almost no road noise. The lot is huge, maybe half an acre and goes all the way down to the creek. My girlfriend's dog loved running around on the property! The hot tub on the deck was a huge treat, as was the hammock and the swing by the creek. Guys...it doesn't get more romantic than this. You will get huge brownie points for this one. Just FYI. the fridge is a small bar fridge, so plan for that, but otherwise, well stocked kitchen. And try aroma Cafe while in Idyllwild. Wonderful. Cheers and have fun.


We had a really nice time.
The Creekside Cottage is small and simple, but that is what we were looking for in a mountain cabin. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The property is actually better than the pictures suggest. There is a new 3 person hot tub on the deck and the property sits on about an acre of land adjacent to a little creek. We arrived during a blizzard and were immidiately snowed in. Since the cabin is a 10 minute walk to town, we were able to walk to pickup supplies and spent the remainder of the time enjoying the property.The yard isn't fenced in but my dogs loved it anyway, especially since they hadn't seen snow before. The staff, Martha and her mom, were very friendly and took good care of us. The only drawback to Idyllwild is that they don't have ordinary trash service. Which means you need to remove it to the dump yourself or pay extra. We hauled it out and Martha was nice enough to take it for us with no charge.We'd deffinately go back again.


Perfect little cabin with hot tub on deck
I was very pleasantly surprised. Very cute cabin with a big private yarx. The pictures on the site do not do this beautiful little cabin justice. And there is nothing on the site about it having an awesome jacuzzi on the back deck! The furnishings were very nice and everything looked new. The swing in the back by the creek was such a nice touch. I will be staying at the creekside cottage again..Pet friendly and perfect for couple.


Very relaxing and comfortable cabin!!
My boyfriend and I needed to get away for a long weekend. We stayed at the Creekside Cottage! What a great place!! It had everything we needed and it was very quiet and private. We could walk to town in ten minutes!! I would go back to this cabin again. The only thing we had to mention when checking out was the bed linens weren't big enough for the queen size bed. T

We enjoyed the cabin, competely furnished, and quite isolated, while still being close to town. Staff was very attentive, and answered several questions we needed to know about the area. 


cosy comfort
The Lighthouse is a cosy cabin with patios around the house and lovely views. We would definitely come back! Some small improvements could be made. A newer shower would be nice, but we had had fun using the tub and looking into the garden. The heater comes on quite loud and a water kettle would be a great addition to the kitchen. 

 
Had a good experience love the Little town of Idyllwild. Usually just ride our motorcycles up there for the day.. was our first time staying the cozy tiny cabin was perfect for just my girlfriend and I.


Cozy and Quiet
Me and my girlfriend were looking for a little getaway on a budget, this place was perfect. It's a bit small but has everything you need and lays in a very quiet setting, about a minute drive into downtown. It's the perfect little getaway from the city.


A cozy wonderful cabin.
We really loved it. We spent most of the time in the upstairs area, but the downstairs is nice too. The whole place is more than large enough for two people. Very comfortable bed. Nice TV with DVD player. Some might find the kitchen a little small. It's a lovely walk into town, maybe about a mile.

Weekend getaway from la.
We had an excellent stay in a very cozy cabin. This was our first time in Idyllwild coming from Los angeles, and just two hours was like we travelled a world away. It was a relaxing weekend with excellent accommodations, close to town and hiking trails. On our way back to la we were already planning our next trip to Idyllwild. Great cabin and accommodations for the price. 


Squirrel's Nest stay
There was a nice creek running behind the cabin. We spotted a deer the came down for a drink. The only issue we all had was that I requested a one level cabin and was given a call to let me know that the owners of the cabin I order was coming down and they had another cabin available with a stairway that circles. We all were already looking forward of getting away that I stated that I would take it. Now the issue my mother whom is 76 years young had trouble with the stairway because one it is really narrow and is very hard to manover. So if you request ths cabin make sure you are younger then 50. We did have a great time when we went to town and to Humble Park.

 
Fifteen of us--half of our family slept across the road at the Cabin on the Creek for a 4 day weekend! Gorgeous home boasting a large "great room" w/top of the line appliances, tv/computer access. In fact, everything about the cabin is topnotch! Walkable to the Village, hiking trails, Creek. Tlc and superb service by Martha is wonderful! This cabin is definitely a repeat!!!


We just returned from a weekend stay at the Mt. View cabin. We were two couples and a golden retriever. Searching the internet, I found the property and phoned the manager, Martha, for more info. I told her of our requirements and she assurred me that the Mt. View cabin would be perfect. It was! The cabin, although a bit dated, was very comfortable and had everything we could need. The fenced yard of over a half acre was fantastic for the dog. Secluded, close to great hiking and walking distance to town, the location was great. Martha's service was 1st rate and we look forward being back in the summer.


"Christmas in Heaven!" 
We just got back from a 3 night stay at the Mountain View cabin in Idyllwild, and we have nothing but good things to report. We brought our dog, a black lab, who was in heaven running around the 1 acre lot, that was totally fenced it. It had just snowed the day before, so we were able to enjoy a white Christmas. The cabin itself was perfectly suited for us. It wasn't fancy per se - but had all the amenties we needed. A cozy fireplace, big open floorplan, fenced in back yard, big bedroom. Martha at Fern Valley Vacation Cabins was extremely friendly and accommodating. She moved one of the twin beds into the master bedroom which was perfect, so our 4 yr old son could sleep near us. When we arrived, the house was very clean, and already warm and cozy w/ the heat on. 
We loved the cabin, and definately plan to book a trip back there next year. 5 stars for Mountian View and Fern Valley Vacation Cabins!

"Unforgettable vacation at the Cabin"

"Best of all worlds"
This cabin is walking distance to town, yet still feels private and tucked in the woods. Very comfortable--more of a modern house in the woods than a rustic cabin. Ideal for two couples. Very warm and intimate. The house was well stocked with amenities. It snowed quite a bit the weekend we stayed. The street was easy to get out of though and the owner was kind enough to shovel our driveway both mornings. I would like to return to this cabin again some day.


Excellent facility and prompt assistance from manager when a tree was downed by snow taking out electricity. A very nice rental home.



"Amazing and Gorgeous" 
This cabin was very welcoming and gorgeous. Walking onto the back porch, you are surrounded by nature and the sound of the creek right below you. I would highly recommend this amazing and beautiful place. 



"Williams" 
Over all the service was great and the cabin was fine. We were a little further away from town than we would like. The ad said within walking distance. What it did not say is you had to cross the 243 to get to town.



"Nice House in the Woods" 
This is more of a house than a cabin. It's in a very quiet location down a dirt road which dead ends so there is no thru traffic. It is new and has excellent features.
This place is really nice and has everything. You only have to bring food and clothes...everything else is there. 
My wife loved the well equipped kitchen (I think I'll be upgrading her kitchen soon as a result of this trip). She also liked the master bath with the large walk-in shower. 
The wood stove works great to heat the big open area which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also central heating/AC as a backup that worked great.
The furnishings are quite nice and the audio/video equipment was a pleasant surprise. It's nice to have access the internet via the wireless router. 
The only downside was that the mobile phone signal is weak inside the house but okay on the back deck or out front. But then again who wants to be connected to the outside world when you are up here?

"I didn't go wrong!" 
I'm glad I choose to stay at the bungalow, it was clean,comfortable, and amazing view and Martha Sanchez was very friendly and on top of things. I would defenetly come back and let anyone I know if they need to relax and be treated right call Martha Sanchez and stay at Idyllwild vacation cabins!!!



"The perfect weekend" 
There were 8 of us, 3 adults, 5 children, ages 8-15. We had a wonderful time. Martha was really great, accommodating us on short notice (2 days). All of the amenities were available in the cabin, i.e., paper towels, toliet paper, dish soap, coffee filters, towels and linens. there was evem wood for the fire in the potbelly stove! We arrived on Thursday afternoon and by evening time it was snowing. It snowed the just about the whole time we were there. The kids had a blast, sledding down the hill in the backyard & throwing snowballs. Night time brought fun in the game room, playing pool and darts, or watching a movie with a fire in the potbelly stove. We bar-b-qued out on the deck one night during a snow storm, it was great. We also took advantage of seeing the sights around Idyllwild. We visited the Nature Center and took hikes around the glorious wilderness. We visited the Fire and Earth pottery store and painted beautiful pottery that was fired that night and we picked it up the next day. We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter at the Gastronome restaurant. We also visited many other stores in town. I would highly recommend staying with Fern Valley, they made it so comfortable. I definitely will come again!

Great Stay
I was impressed and pleased with the web, phone and office access in central Idyllwild. The Cabin was modern in construction with beautiful floors, ceilings and kitchen. We enjoyed the great room while cooking, playing games and listening to an Ipod over the surround sound. We had everything we needed in the cabin, while enjoying the seclusion of a forest with a creek off the large back deck. Glad I booked it, had a blast with the In-laws and "Kids", everyone said, "this place is awsome".


This rental had everything we needed

This house is roomy and in a great location, walkable to the fabulous aroma Cafe and the rest of town; great view, a short drive to dramatic hiking and pet friendly. Everything worked: the heat, the jacuzzi, the fireplace, the TV. When the DVD player didn't work, the rental company replaced it in time for the next evening's movie. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements and a fabulous deck.

Wonderful stay at one of the best cabins I've been ever into

Perfect for 2 couples
The cabin is pretty much brand new. The surroundings are perfect in that it's secluded enough and yet with neighboring cabins for a feel of small rural community. I stayed here with two of my friend's family, and all of them were saying they would come back in a near future with their parents or other family members. If you stay here, I beg you to please take a good care of it because I know I would be coming back here definitely in the future, and I hope I find it in its current tip-top shape for many years to come.
I stayed in the master bedroom. The bed was absolutely comfortable. The only problem I had was there was not much closet or shelf space to hang or put anything on in the master suite. The walk-in closet in the bathroom is locked up for owner's use, and there is not much furniture (the reason I gave less than 5 stars for "comfort") It was a minor discomfort. 
If you visit here, do enjoy the full surround stereo system that is built in the ceiling. All you have to do is to connect your iphone or computer to the earphone jack or play DVD. We had a wonderful time hearing some nice music. 
One episode. We had total of 3 babies, and all of them almost got a cold. This is what happened. After we put them to sleep in the bedrooms,we started fire in the fireplace (which you would need some instruction to make it work) and we talked by the fireside in the living room until about 2am. One of the babies started crying, and we realized that the rooms were very cold. It was because the living room got warm through the fire and the heater didn't operate because the temperature in the living room was above 73 degree we had set in the evening. (Our babies are fine)
Again, if you stay in this cabin, take a good care of it. I am coming back.

This home was recently remodeled and was spotless throughout. We came with another couple with kids and dogs and it was perfect with 2 master bedrooms. There was an additional room where the kids slept off living area. The laundry room was enclosed and we could of kept our dogs there if we wanted. There was plenty of room, kitchen utensils, and was located close to town. Our children wanted us to purchase this home and our friends thanked me for finding such a perfect home to meet our needs during our brief getaway. It's always great when the place you visit looks even better than the pictures!


Amazing and Gorgeous

This cabin was very welcoming and gorgeous. Walking onto the back porch, you are surrounded by nature and the sound of the creek right below you. I would highly recommend this amazing and beautiful place. 


Nice House in the Woods

This is more of a house than a cabin. It's in a very quiet location down a dirt road which dead ends so there is no thru traffic. It is new and has excellent features.
This place is really nice and has everything. You only have to bring food and clothes...everything else is there. 
My wife loved the well equipped kitchen (I think I'll be upgrading her kitchen soon as a result of this trip). She also liked the master bath with the large walk-in shower. 
The wood stove works great to heat the big open area which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also central heating/AC as a backup that worked great.
The furnishings are quite nice and the audio/video equipment was a pleasant surprise. It's nice to have access the internet via the wireless router. 
The only downside was that the mobile phone signal is weak inside the house but okay on the back deck or out front. But then again who wants to be connected to the outside world when you are up here?

Absolutely the Best Extended Family Getaway

Fifteen of usl--half of our family slept across the road at the Cabin on the Creek for a 4 day weekend! Gorgeous home boasting a large "great room" w/top of the line appliances, tv/computer access. In fact, everything about the cabin is topnotch! Walkable to the Village, hiking trails, Creek. Tlc and superb service by Martha is wonderful! This cabin is definitely a repeat!!! 


Everything We Wanted and More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the alkire Cabin. The service given to us by Martha was wonderful. My husband has a hip problem so she even helped load some firewood in his truck! The home was emaculate and had so many adorable decorations! Location was close to town, yet when out on the back porch, you feel a million miles away, with all the pine trees and huge oak trees. The little stream at the bottom of the property could be heard from the back porch, which was very tranquil. I would say, the best thing about our stay, was the freedom our two dogs had to wander the huge property, and with the chain link fence around it, we didn't have to worry about them escaping. The only thing that I wasn't aware of, was that the firepit (coalpit), was not in working order, and that although it lists having a laundry, we didn't have access to it. We also were not given a key to access the stream from the back yard. It really wasn't a problem, but I think we will ask about those things next time we come up...and...we will come up again! Loved it!! 


Alkire house in Idyllwild

We had a lovely stay in Idyllwild. The alkire home was fabulous. So perfect for our romantic retreat.
The home is in such a great location. Very private but only a few blocks from town. We totally had the best of both worlds.
This is my first experience in renting a home when traveling. I was happy I did. It is like being "at home" but on vacation:)
The manager, Martha is available by phone is you encounter issues. She is courteous and helpful. 
I highly recommend this house.

replace three that were burnt out.

Extraodinary and above all expectations

My husband and I stayed at the alkire. The accommodations were amazing. There were far more things there than described and both my husband and I felt our vacation could not have been better. We had the opportunity to meet the owners, Chuck and Ellen, and that only made things better because they were such friendly and gracious hosts. Shower and bath were roomy. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. I am picky when it comes to mattresses and bedding, so for me, this made me feel like I was at home. The back yard was perfect for our two dogs. We brought our bull mastiff, Samson and our rescue pit, Roxanne. They actually behaved better than they do at home, so I think they were pleased too. The walk to town is in within a minute and makes it easy and convenient to enjoy Idyllwild. The view in the backyard was amazing, private, and peaceful. I told Chuck and Ellen the pictures do not do this place justice. Martha, our coordinator, could not have been more helpful. Thank you for making out experience so wonderful.

Best Vacation Ever

Our arrival at this wonderful home brought us the same feeling as seeing our us Open Seats did. We thought we had hit the Jackpot. Booking on line can always be sketchy, but from first glance the home was wonderful. Wonderful to cook, wonderful to sleep and wonderful for Scrabble. Of course, we packed too much stuff as this cabin already had everything that we needed. This cabin will always be special because it was the first time outdoor for our newly amputated family pet (bone cancer). It was his first chance to vacation. He navigated the yard and decks with such ease and enjoyed the outdoors as much as we expected. Wonderful home, wonderful Martha. We will be back. 

 

Relaxing and rejuvenated

Martha was a great start to a relaxing 3-day weekend. The website and reservation process made it so easy to start. The home was outstanding! It was beautifully decorated, homey, and relaxing. It has absolutely everything a person could want! The fact that we could bring our dog was a bonus! Neither of us wanted to leave and return to our real lives! We enjoyed it so much, we immediately looked into a December stay, but we'll have to wait till next year! 
When we couldn't figure out how to get the DVD player to work, Martha even came over and got it going for us! Great service!
We will definitely be reserving with Martha again, and hopefully at alkire on the Creek!

The Most awesome Cabin in Idyllwild

My husband and I along with our two dogs just spent the best 4 days in this lovely cabin. We have been coming to Idyllwild for 10 years now and have stayed at one cabin for years in Pine Cove. When I called Martha I told her what we were looking for. She was spot on with her recommendation. 
This cabin is perfect for a couple to get away...it is secluded, has all the amenities (Hdtv, WiFi, gourmet kitchen, AC) but yet not over the top. You still feel like you are in a cabin, but not without some of things we all enjoy. 
The lot is huge, right on Strawberry Creek (the dogs loved the hike along the creek) as we did too. 
This is our new place to stay for a long time to come.
Also, I should note Martha is awesome! I have never had this type of customer service in any of the other cabin rentals!

A wonderful, relaxing vacation in a beautiful home.

I loved staying for a week in Idyllwild. We had never done this before and it was great getting away from the hot desert. The home we rented was beautiful and well cared for. It had everything you could want. The service was excellent by Martha and her Mom.
We plan on coming back to Idyllwild.

Comfortable, quiet, enjoyable stay

Walk to town. The house was very nice. Dog yard. Great stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. 

Pretty good

It was a nice cabbin with lots of home comforts, however I didn't like the shower being downstairs instead of by the master bedroom, the scenery around the cabbin was awesome. I also liked the seclusion, I would recommend this cabbin to my friends. 


Really enjoyed hearing the creek in the background and the porch

The Cabin was close enough to town for convenience but because it was a little bit away had a more secluded feeling. Really enjoyed having porches off both bedrooms plus the front and back of the cabin. The service from Martha was superior-- she even retrieved a item that was left behind and mailed it to me later. Much appreciated!

Idyllic

I only give 4 stars because of a couple glitches- but what else to expect from a mountain cabin?!
It was overall absolutely fantastic and adorable. I have already called my entire call list to recommend this little gem. It's as cute (though smaller- but hey- I live in la where we're all obnoxious and spoiled) as it looks in pictures. And I love the vhs player (with dvd) with labeled movies (I went for my one-year anniversary and watching "Beauty and the Beast" definitely won over any alternative- apologies to my man :)
Martha (and her mom) were so helpful and accommodating.

Quaint, Relaxing Getaway

We had a great time. The cabin was clean, had all we could have wanted. Everything, including the all too crucial hot tub, was prepped and waiting for our arrival. 


Great time

Very nice cabin, great for 2-3 people.
Everything was as promised and Martha had it ready for us with the spa, lights and heat on. The only thing missing was a bundle of dry wood for the fireplace.We did not have any energy after the long drive to go out that night, so we had to wait 'till the next day.
The kitchen is not big, but has pretty much everything, we had no trouble cooking the whole Thanksgiving dinner.
It is very peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful night sky. 
We had wonderful time, and will definitely stay there again.

My wife and I looked at all the other online rental companies and none of them compared to the value we found with Martha at IdyllwildVacationCabins.com. After spending a few minutes on the phone with her, I could tell she takes great pride in her cabins and I knew her service would be exceptional. Our experience was even better than we expected when we stayed in Starlight Seclusion. The cabin was clean, very well maintained, and furnished for optimum comfort. Our daughters loved the main upstairs loft and we all slept very well. The most peaceful and relaxing vacation in a cabin ever!

Trisha and I just wanted to thank you for the great time in our Cabin rental this past weekend (Oct. 27 to Oct. 30). It was the most peaceful, relaxing, and fun time we've had in a very long time. I give 5 stars for every aspect of the trip and stay. No matter when or what I called you for during our time there you were always right there to assist us, thank you. We will most definitely be coming back to you personally for our next vacation rental. We Loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. I wish I could get away to Idyllwild every month! Wonderul

Everything was perfect! The hot tub right outside our door was delightful, the location of the cabin was terrific. The cabin was clean some of the kitchen items were dusty. The bed we slept in was uncomfortable and the shower was tiny. Our stay overall, was truly great! Our dog loved every minute of it!!


I didn't go wrong!

I'm glad I choose to stay at the bungalow, it was clean,comfortable, and amazing view and Martha Sanchez was very friendly and on top of things. Wonderful weekend getaway!

We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at the Hudson Hideaway cabin when we recently visited Idyllwild. We found the cabin to be immaculate, beautifully furnished with comfortable, great quality bedding. The games room was just icing on the cake...kept the kids busy! Martha is a dream to communicate with and I'm so glad I followed her recommendations. Will definitely return in the summer!

A wonderful cabin!

We have stayed at Hudson's Hideaway a few times over the last few years and love this cabin! Its tastefully decorated, close to town and the pool table is a hit with my kids. If the owners ever want to sell...


Great Cabin w all the luxuries

This place was terrific. If you like antiques, blended with modern technology this is the place for you. Close to town, great comfortable beds. Overstuffed furniture and flat screen tv's. The game room was a great bonus. All the amenities were there.


Fun and Relaxing Cabin Getaway with Cool Game Room

Our last minute decision to rent this cabin/home was the best one we've had in awhile!! Martha was very prompt in returning my call and was very pleasant to deal with. She assured me that if we needed anything, to call her any time of day. As it was, the place was perfect!!
Upon our arrival at Hudson Hideaway, we found the place to be spacious and inviting. It was very clean and comfortable. Our teenage girls loved the game room and my husband and I loved the wonderful deck behind the house. A nice quiet place to relax, play games, or just sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. 
We cooked most all of our meals at the cabin and found the kitchen to be fully stocked. The BBQ on the deck was very nice and convenient. We loved the decor of the home...very classy with antique furniture touches throughout. 
We wanted to go hiking and only had to drive 8 to 10 minutes to Humber Park. Just loved the views and scenery of the San Jacinto mountains.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hudson Hideaway and would definitely recommend that you give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Peaceful family getaway!!!

Loved it! The rooms were beautiful. The location was perfect and the view spectacular. Everything was as described or better. All nine of us had a wonderful time. It was close to town but still secluded. Perfect. We will absolutely visit again. No complaints. One warning: If you take a bath in the big beautiful tub keep in mind that the tub is way bigger than the hot water heater.

Idle Escape offers a panoramic view of Lily Rock and the Idyllwild

Idle Escape is located in a quiet but friendly neighborhood. The large deck offers a beautiful view of the mountains and sky. The home is comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. The location of this retreat is not far from town -- too far to walk but a quick trip in the car. The outstanding feature of this home is the large deck and stunning view. The bedrooms could all use new mattresses and ample lighting. Bring a fashlight to read at night. Overall, fond memories in the forest.

I have to say the best part of my stay in Idle Escape was Martha Sanchez,she is the property manager who is very attentive of your every need. She is very acomodating and has a terrific smile. You may be able to rent a great house from many different people but the service Martha provides is very hard to find and she has rentals to satisfy most peoples needs. If something was to happen and you needed a quick response to any situation Martha will be there to take care of your needs. This to me is the most important aspect of any vacation.

The cabin was very nice, clean and spacious. The view from almost every room was spectacular. Martha was very welcoming and friendly and made sure things ran smooth. We would rent this cabin again.

The perfect weekend

There were 8 of us, 3 adults, 5 children, ages 8-15. We had a wonderful time. Martha was really great, accommodating us on short notice (2 days). All of the amenities were available in the cabin, i.e., paper towels, toliet paper, dish soap, coffee filters, towels and linens. there was evem wood for the fire in the potbelly stove! We arrived on Thursday afternoon and by evening time it was snowing. It snowed the just about the whole time we were there. The kids had a blast, sledding down the hill in the backyard & throwing snowballs. Night time brought fun in the game room, playing pool and darts, or watching a movie with a fire in the potbelly stove. We bar-b-qued out on the deck one night during a snow storm, it was great. We also took advantage of seeing the sights around Idyllwild. We visited the Nature Center and took hikes around the glorious wilderness. We visited the Fire and Earth pottery store and painted beautiful pottery that was fired that night and we picked it up the next day. We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter at the Gastronome restaurant. We also visited many other stores in town. I would highly recommend staying with Fern Valley, they made it so comfortable. I definitely will come again!


Girls get away

Five of us met in the mountains for a girls week-end and had a great time. The house was clean and welcoming and the views from the balcony amazing. Although the kitchen is stocked with dishes, etc. it is short some items. For example, there were only four wine glasses although the house is said to sleep nine, one tall water glass, no liquid measuring cups. We are a group who likes to cook and cooked all week-end so I would suggest your future guests be advised to bring some of their own specialized equipment if they are going to cook.
Martha Sanchez was great to work with and was immediately available when the first two arrived and could not figure out the television. 



Best retreat so far!

We got to Idyllwild a little late but the office had prepared for that and had made special arrangements. When we finally got to our cabin we opened the door and saw a well furnished living room with a fireplace. As we explored the property we could not believe how big it was. With a total of 5 rooms 3 bathrooms and so many beds we all had the personal space we like, which is very odd when you go on a retreat. The next day after our hike we came back and had a BBQ on the very nice grill with the propane that they provided for us. This cabin was great and was exactly what we were looking for at a very decent price. Will definitely consider going again next year. 


Every thing we expected!!!

We stayed at this cabin Christmas week and it was everything we wanted it to be! The cabin is beautifull and spacious and very clean. We had three families staying with us and there was plenty of space to accommodate everyone. The master bedroom was huge with a large bathroom and a fire place. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and was very sad to leave. The staff was very helpfull, even went out of our way to dump all the trash for us (which was quite a bit since we were there for a week and it was Christmas!) The trash is only taken on certain days and since we checked out on an off day- they graciously loaded our many bags of trash into their personal vehicle and disposed of it for us. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation!!! I would definatly rent this cabin again!!!


Magical

We had a wonderful time my son proposed to his girfriend there everything was perfect there was 11 of us and we had plenty of room all I can say is thateverything was what we expected and more


Everything about the house was perfect for our family holiday get away.

The house was perfect for our family's getaway for the holidays. We enjoyed the deck and surroundings during the day and the cozy environment in the house at night. The upstairs rooms were a comfortable place for the kids to play and the master suite worked well for the family of four kids and two adults. It was nice to have the separate bedrooms downstairs for the grandparents. The kitchen was well equipped and we prepared all our meals and ate together at the large dining table. Hope to come back for a summer visit. Martha made everything easy.

Three couples, plus one mother-in-law and one couple's daughter, we were all able to be together and enjoy ourselves. 
Needed: a closet to hang clothes in the master bedroom upstairs; a hair dryer, a map to send people who are coming, and better instructions for use of the internet. Otherwise, great!!


Mountain Cabin Experience

This is the 3rd Christmas we've spent at this cabin and look forward to spending more here. The cabin is small and cozy - perfect for 2 people but will sleep 3. It's located at the bottom of a small cul-de-sac so it can be difficult to access in the snow or ice. However, we love the privacy and seclusion this cabin provides in the winter months. Dogs are welcome here and there's a nice fenced-in back yard with easy access from the back deck. It's a great place to unplug from everything(no wireless access) and just sit by the fire, play games or watch movies. This is the first year the cabin has been under management by Martha Sanchez and there is definitely a noticeable improvement. She was easily contacted by phone to answer questions and showed interest and concern that all our needs were met. I highly recommend this cabin to a single person or couple for a quiet get-away.


Our third stay at Cavalier and we'll definatly come back

Our one week end per year in Idyllwild will continue to be spent at the Cavalier cabin. This place is much larger than the photos suggest. Perfect for one couple. A great getaway. The dirt drive leading to the cabin adds to the sense of seclusion. Pay attention to the 4-wheele drive warning if it snows, but it's best to have that anyway (or all-wheele drive) in the general area during the winter. The forced air heat warms this baby up in a minute and a half. Bring Fido and hike the Ernie Maxwell trail. Huge romantic fireplace-bring lotsa wood. Kitchen and dining area make it comfortable to prepare meals and stay in. We'll be back...Patrick B. Chula Vista, Ca.


Relaxing and rejuvenating

We really enjoyed staying at Cavalier Cabin. We loved the intimacy of the interior and especially having real wood fires in the fireplace each evening. We had everything we needed there to enjoy our stay. The back patio was a wonderful place to sit and read, watch and listen to nature and just relax.


Clean Cozy and Peaceful, A relaxing place to escape

The Cavalier Cabin was a wonderful cabin to stay in. Booking reservations online were easy.The rental place where you pick up the key is 24 hours so you arent pressed for time, The cabin is secluded and very quiet. It is very clean and I am a clean freak. It feels so comfortable. We had snow and sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace watching the snow fall was heaven on earth. There is a great deck in the back with a BBQ grill. I cant wait to go back in the summer to sit and relax there. It is surrounded with trees and there are lots of squirels. It is very spacious as there are vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is clean and there is a coffee pot but remember to bring your own coffee as it isnt provided! It is the perfect place to escape and unwind.Absolutely beautiful. Also, since we got almost a foot of snow Martha the cabin keeper was so kind to call us to make sure we could get out. Even if we were stuck in the snow she would have sent somebody out to help us get out. That was really nice.Cant wait to come back.

We'll definitely remember this cabin for future stays!

We loved this cabin! We got there fairly late in the evening and it was so nice to come to an already warm, well-lit cabin. We will be keeping this cabin in mind for future stays. It was so nice. It was clean, bright, and had nearly everything you need- with the exception of food, some seasonings, coffee filters, and shampoo. But even with that it had much more than we had expected.
Martha was wonderful to work with. She is quick to answer calls and return calls and is very helpful. I had a lot of questions and she was very patient and kind.
My only complaint was that the spa was too hot. At 110 degrees we had red lines on our bodies from where the water ran up to. We had to get out within 5 minutes and stop forcing ourselves to enjoy it, as it was a main reason for choosing this cabin. But everything else about the cabin made up for it! It was a very nice getaway!


We had a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our get away weekend at Bella Luna. The cabin is charming and has a lovely view. I do wish that there were queen or 2 single beds in each room instead of doubles - they are just not big enough. The faucet in the downstairs bathroom is coming off and the dryer was filled with parts, it looks like they are fixing it. Other than that we loved it!

Bella Luna is in a peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Just minutes to town.
We had wonderful views of the mountains from every room!
We were able to have family time and watch the small birds and animals in the mornings with our coffee.
Our two little dogs, Angel and Lucky had a great time too.
There was just enough snow for our son Jake to have some fun in the snow!
We hope to visit Idyllwild again and will definitely rent from Martha again!

Relaxing and Beautiful

This beautiful cabin is spacious, clean, beautiful and amply stocked with games, books and movies so that you don't have to leave to look for entertainment. The spa was a bonus. My husband and I were so comfortable that we only left for one lunch meal. The rest of the time we played games, cooked and relaxed in the hot tub. We had a wonderful time.


Beautiful cabin, ok location

We loved the cabin, it was very comfortable and clean. The location was just ok for us as our kids wanted more of an outdoor area with trees and forest to play in. This cabin is private but surrounded on all sides by other cabins so exploring out of the property line, you end up in someone's yard close by. This property is built on a large boulder of rock so not as many trees and the ground is not level around the property if you need extra help with elderly guests or small children. The furnishings were very nice but none of the windows have any type of blind or shade so at night, you are in full view and plan on getting up early because the sun will be beaming in your face first thing in the early morning. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been more trees/land and a window shade in the bedrooms. Everything we needed was provided. Last day was a little annoying because although we weren't staying the extra night, we were given the buy 2 nights get one free so I was told we could leave at our leisure on the last day but we received a phone call around 2pm wanting us to leave so they could show the cabin to someone else renting for the holidays. Although we were planning on leaving soon anyway, that bothered me and its a good thing we didn't decide to stay that extra night. Our packing up the car just seemed rushed when the property managements car was waiting at the bottom of the driveway with clients in it. Was still a very nice getaway and I would use this company again.


The Bears Den is a very nice place

The Bears Den is a very nice place to stay and I would recommend it to others. My only issue was the fact that we had to dispose of our own trash.
