Cabin Rental Polices
Booking Policy -Most bookings require a two night minimum. Some exceptions are made. Holidays are usually 3-5 day minimum. A Non-Refundable Booking Fee $75.00 to $150.00. Booking Fees are included in a two night stay quoted charge. This Fee is charged on all reservations and applied to the total balance due. The cabins are privately owned and can only accommodate a maximum number of people. If a cabin states a maximum of 16 guest, please respect these numbers. The cabin owners have set these limits based on the beds, water usage and septic systems.
TOT TAX (Transient Occupancy Tax) is a 10% and is required by the County of Riverside and is charged on all rentals.
Check-in time- Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 10:30am. We do not charge for earlier check in time or late check out. The earliest guests can check in is 10:30am and the latest possible check out time is 2pm and is based on availability on the check in/out date. Typically all of our houses are prepped and ready the night before so our guests may check in early. Late check out and early check in is a courtesy we provide all our guests and it is generally only not available when there is another guest checking in or out the same day. Guests may check in as late as they want.
Security deposits of $500.00 are charged on all rentals. Security deposits to be refunded after cabin is inspected, cleaned and linens inventoried. $500.00 minimum for 28 day rentals. Keys- All keys may be picked up at our office at 54380 North Circle Drive unit C. We also have additional information we provide to our guests upon check in including a guest feedback form and turn by turn directions from our office to your cabin.
Cancellations–
Temporary Cancellation Policy:
Due to the uncertainty of the current pandemic, if travel restrictions are imposed again, customers will receive a full credit good for two years and no booking fee will be charged. Credit is not good for holidays stays. No refunds will be issued.
We require a 14 day Notice of Cancellation on regular bookings and 45 days on all Holiday reservations to avoid any balance due charges. The Booking Fee is Non-Refundable. After the 15th day prior to check in (45 days on Holidays), you will be liable for 100% of the cabin charge. If we re-rent the cabin you booked and cancelled; you will be refunded the number of nights we were able to re rent the cabin for.Holidays and Night Minimums- All holidays are subject to a 3 night minimum, with Christmas and Thanksgiving being a 4 night minimum. It should also be noted that we do not allow guests to check in or out on December 24th or 25th so that we can give our crews Christmas off.
Payments–The Non-Refundable Booking Fee will be charged when your reservation is made and applied to the total amount due. Payment in full must be received 14 days (45 for holidays) prior to your arrival date. If you are using a credit card we will charge it at that time. If you wish to pay by personal check it must be received in our office before payment is due.
During winter, bring tire chains and snow shovel. If needed we will plow the road and driveway to the cabin. Any requested plowing will be at the cost of the tenant. During wintertime some cabins can be inaccessible to some vehicles. We cannot be responsible for icy or snowy conditions on driveways or steps. Remember: you are coming to the mountains …
Trash - Upon departure please either take your trash to the dump located at 28100 Saunders Meadow Road the dump's at hours: 8:30 to 4:30, Closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and holidays; or bring trash to our office when dropping off your cabin key.
Linens and extras– Sheets and towels are included and beds are made prior to your arrival. We also supply one new roll of paper towels, two rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom, one large trash bag, kitchen bags, soft soap, dish soap and a clean sponge for every cabin stay.Firewood - Fire wood is not included at the advertised price of your cabin. You can purchase wood if you call before your stay. DO NOT REMOVE THE ASHES FROM THE FIREPLACE...WE WILL CLEAN IT! Even if it’s in the middle of your booking. PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE.
Pet Policy- Pets welcome at all pet friendly houses. Homes that are not pet friendly will say so on their Cabins page and in any description of the home. There is a one time $25 dollar fee per pet per reservation.
All Cabins Are Non Smoking! A minimum of $250.00 will be charged if you smoke in the cabin to launder all the linens and cushions to remove residual smoke smell.
All cabins are professionally cleaned prior to your arrival .In the mountains some cobwebs and pine needles are normal, please be prepared to encounter these inconveniences. The lights and heat will be on when you arrive for your convenience.
On departure- leave the cabin as you found it to avoid additional charges or loss of your security deposit. Please turn the heat to low and turn the lights off and lock windows and doors. Please return the keys to office of Idyllwild Vacation Cabins, if we are not available leave the keys in the drop box next to the office door.
